In case you bleed again (which I hope you don't), you may want to have some period underwear (if you don't already have some). Thinx have a gender-neutral design and they made an add with a trans man. I like a lot the period underwear because you just put an underwear like any day and you're good to go. I think it can alleviate some of the dysphoria. Plus, you don't have to buy in the "feminine hygiene" section, urk, horrible as a trans person. (It does not take the pain away obviously).

@leonieh.8820

Jacob Piglet I really don’t want to have that conversation because you don’t seem to even try and get where I‘m coming from but he’s not living a lie. For him that’s how he has always felt, as a boy, as a man. Why would you want to take that away and discredit that by using biological gender as your one and only argument? Yes, biologically he is, undeniably, a female. He knows that. We all do, we’re not dumb. But if he feels like a man who gave you the right to intrude his life, his feelings, his being just to be like „uhh that is not correct“? It is for him. Now, I don’t want to have an argument because I prefer talking it out like the mature people we are. What I just said is a summary of the view and belief I grew up with. I understand if that’s not your view and belief. You can have a different opinion. Just don’t take it out on here and be a rude person :)

But also, he said he could barely tolerate getting injections when he was on those blockers. (He uses a topical version of T, because of that.) So the depo shot probably wouldn't be suitable for Chase. (Though, progestin has many other vehicles than just injection. So not sure if he wishes to get back on a progestin-based medication.) Not sure if implants are on the table or not, however. But yeah, I agree with your sentiment and have well wishes for Chase.

Crimson Wabbit I was wondering about that too - maybe the implant? I have to be absolutely honest: This is not an unnatural thing for your body. It’s actually in the dna of every single cell in your body and therefore one of the most natural things for a female body to do. At this moment you still live in a 100% female body with an abnormally high (and synthetically produced) elevated testosterone level. I can’t imagine how it feels to get your period back after such a long time of distancing yourself from it. But please don’t see it as abwirbt thing for your body to do. It is the only thing that it still knows how to do in it’s hormonally contorted way.

So I’m not keeping my uterus to carry a child someday. I don’t want kids. I’m choosing to not have surgery that I do not medically need. If it becomes a necessity then yes, I will get surgery. But I do not want to have another surgery. Why can’t people understand that.

So not the point of this video. But you can get a hysterectomy (removal of uterus) and not an ovariohysterectomy (removal of ovaries and uterus). Then you can still harvest eggs and use a surrogate? So you aren’t technically sterile. Just an option to maybe talk to your doctor about. ^^ best of luck!

I've had a hysterectomy and my GYN discussed this process with me- it is not a perfect solution because prior to harvesting eggs you need to take fertility injections which increases estrogen production and can cause polycystic ovaries and increase the risk of various cancers. I will say that a hysterectomy was far easier to recover from than top surgery, but no one should have to have a surgery they don't want, hopefully Chase can find a solution that works for him, I'm happy with my hysterectomy but that option really isn't for everyone, it's a very personal decision.
@frimshieify

A hysterectomy isn't invasive. It is done laproscopicly and removed through the vagina. It is a realitivly fast recovery. Painful but most laproscopic surgeries are. I'm not trans I'm a straight female and have had a child via c section and have sever endometriosis so that has been something iv visited over the years of failed surgeries to reduce pain and hemorrhaging. Trying for our second baby and can't seem to stay pregnant I lose them all. 8th miscarriage so far and torn to just have a hysterectomy like my mom had to. It's a hard decision even if he is living his life as a man. He needs to be completely sure he doesn't want his own biological children in the furture. I feel for him on that decision. Ours are different circumstances but similar in many ways.

there is a million reasons why you could be bleeding and it doesn't mean you need a histerectomy. Obgyn appointment will definitely help, but also you could have a blood test privately in Canada I think. I know in my country you also have to wait for months to get an appointment with endo, but you can have blood tests done privately. So at least you know your levels when you go to your obgyn.

I have to take a pill to stop it every day and usually its important that I take it at the same time or near the same time, or I have a higher risk of having problems if i'm stressed... Personally, I can't wait to be 18 and be able to get a hysto, because if I miss ONE DAY of my meds, it comes, it stresses me out, it triggers my dysphoria so bad. I can end up bleeding so heavy for the type of body I have and for all the meds I take to stop it, and the pains are so ridiculously painful that midol cant stop the pain at all and heating pads only do so much. I recently went through a high spike of anxiety and depression and had been not sleeping very well at all, so I was waking up at like 2pm, tired and not wanting to do anything, forgetting to take my meds. didn't taken them for about 4 days, it was horrible, I had two anxious dysphoric breakdowns in one week, I was so tired, it was making everything I had just started trouble with 5x worse.

That just suuux!!! And this might come out of left field, but I don’t know what type of period products your using, but if you haven’t checked out a period cup yet you definitely should!! The greatest thing about a cup is that you insert it, and you can leave it for 12 hours!!!! That means you only have to deal with it twice a day - and bonus ( at least for me ) the small suction of the cup actually shortens my period!! And unless there is heavy flow, that morning and night thing is real - you don’t even get the smell in between.. I ONLY recommend this because you are as open as you are and that you tell us that you do use that part of your body for fun... I hope you feel better soon, and that you find out what’s happening in your body...

I'm non-binary and switched to the cup a few months ago. It's so nice to not have to deal with a pad or tampon every time I use the restroom. Plus, definitely more environmentally friendly and cheaper in the long run, although with folks on T that's probably not the same issue.

Rachel Raspberry - the reason i suggested it at all is because Chase has openly said that he actually enjoys and uses that part of his body... And my reasoning was - if he can do that, the leap to a cup wouldn’t be so big if the reward was that he only had to ‘think’ about ‘the unmentionable’ twice a day... instead of every time he moves, goes to the bathroom or any even when getting dressed in the morning!! I get it’s not for everybody, and it’s totally a personal thing, but I just thought that chase specifically could benefit from switching to a cup if he hadn’t tried it already....

As a woman with endometriosis, I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. Bleeding is horrific and a hysterectomy is the only real way to be rid of it in my case. But my doctor won't do one at my age because she doesn't want me as a 30 year old lady to have to medically become an old lady. SO I can either suffer with bleeding to the point where it doesn't stop, makes me sick and anxious and angry OR I can be on meds for the rest of my life. I opted for the meds for now because (thankfully) they have been working for a year. But they give me crazy side effects. Dizziness, nauseousness to the point of pain one a month... if these meds fail and I start bleeding again... I will have to jave shots. And you 5alking about the shot you had, I identify with those feelings. Endometriosis has ruined my life. I am a woman. But because of the endo I had issues all my life with being mentally ok with periods. It felt like monsters eating me up inside and I would get so depressed because I couldn't actually be me. I had to be chained to bulky pads and tampons at the same time, I couldn't wear nice clothes, it was random and couldn't be timed and the flow was erratic. Some months I'd have 4 days of spots others would be 24 days of rando bleeding. One time I hemorrhaged and almost died... I am so sorry you are going through this. And even though I am a woman and you are a man, and our stories are by no means similar; you are not alone in these feelings. I pray this gets fixed for you soon. I am so, so, so sorry you are dealing with this. But every time you feel bad PLEASE make a video so you can talk it out, even if you don't upload it. Its cathartic. It helps. I'm sending you positive vibes and I hooe you can get helped soon!

8 months later but your Comment screamed at me to reply. I had (and have cuz hysterectomy doesn't stop endo) endo badly. I had to get a hysterectomy to save my life. Literally. Get 2nd, 3rd and 4th opinions. Keep going til a Dr WILL DO IT. When I was post hysterectomy, the surgeon (also my gyne) told me what was found. The endo swelled my uterus to a 6 mth pregnancy size. The endo had made my entire uterus petrified rock solid. The endo literally killed and wilted one of my ovaries so it resembled a dead dried flower bud. The endo had glued to all of my abdominal organs AND uterus and pulled ALL OF IT over against my right side. The endo had wrapped around both ovaries, pulled them Underneath my uterus and 'glued' the tips together. The endo was less than a millimeter away from eating into my colon and if it did, id be dead. The endo had caused a massive massive infection inside my uterus. Yet gynecologists for 2 decades all said the 26 days of heavy bleeding and severe severe pain was normal or/and all in my head. Get 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th opinions. Endo can kill you. A hyster will NOT stop endo. You need a specifically trained surgeon who can get everh single last endo implant out of you. If even a teeny bit is missed, endo returns. Endo can and is found in and outside the uterus, on any organ in the body, even the heart brain, lungs, etc. It is not Uterus only. If you can keep an ovary as I did to avoid instant menopause, do so. If they must go, do it. You can get on estrogen pretty much asap post hyster and it'll lessen any menopause issues. When you get your hyster appointment, Google "hyster sisters", join and start reading and asking questions in the pre op area. You'll go into surgery forearmed with vital and helpful info, and the site and users (us post op help pre op) will talk you through what to expect up to, day of and forever past surgery. Even the moment you wake up there will be help. I was in pre op on this forum for 4 months pre surgery date and went from being terrified to fully confident when I walked into the hospital. Now I help ladies in pre op area and help them not worry. www.hystersisters.com is the forum and site. Also has a good place for misterhister for boyfriend, hubby etc so they know what to expect and answer questions etc. I can't recommend this site enough and I also can not recommend getting to as many gynos as possible until one says "You're suffering. Let's get that uterus out". Endo is serious business. Believe me. Edited for spelling fixes.

Yes, it should eventually stop, but you'll need regular check-ups with your prescribing endocrinologist to make sure you're taking the right amount for your body. I'm really sorry you're dealing with this. No one likes having a period, and I can't imagine how much worse it must be to be trans and to have fought so hard for a body you're comfortable with, and to have it seemingly betray you. I know this video is a month old by now and you may have sorted it out, but I also hate my period, and I may have some useful info for you. I'll preface this by saying I'm a cis lady, and it might not be 100% applicable to you and your situation. I'm 31 and my periods have always been irregular, heavy, and extraordinarily painful. On top of that, they just made me feel miserable. No matter what kind of product I used, it felt awful. Things got to the point where I'd have to go leave work early and/or nearly pass out, and I went to a doctor. I requested an extended-cycle birth control pill (Seasonique) and have been on that since April, 2011. I skip the placebo pills and immediately start the next pack. Other than a little spotting in the first two months, I haven't had my period in almost nine years. Yes, this is safe, because if your lining isn't building up, it doesn't need to shed. My doctor knows that I do this and is ok with it. A big thing with a lot of medication, and especially hormones, is grapefruit! There's something in it that negates the effectiveness, so if you eat grapefruit, avoid it for about two hours before and after you take your hormones. Ideally, just stop eating it. If you like grapefruit (I do,) it sucks a little, but giving up one fruit is better than the hell that ensues when it negates your meds. Another thing I've looked into is endometrial ablation. It is done under anesthesia, and basically, a doctor opens the cervix and inserts a thin rod that contains a fine mesh "net" shaped like the inside of a uterus. The net expands and a low, electrical current is passed through the mesh. This will destroy most of the uterine lining. It makes periods lighter and, for some, they go away entirely. This does not destroy your fertility, though it can make it a bit more difficult to conceive in the future. If you're going to have PIV sex with a cis male, you're still going to need some barrier protection. I have not had this done myself, but I know several people who have. They said that in the first few days after the procedure, they had light bleeding and cramping that quickly went away, and they were back to regular life almost immediately. I totally get not wanting a hysterectomy, for all the reasons you stated and also because, if the vagina is left intact, it can prolapse. That's bad any way you look at it. Good luck, and I hope things get better for you.
