This is easily one of my highlights of our 8 month travel so far. The remoteness, the beautiful landscapes, surprisingly beautiful. The Gobi Desert is such a beautiful place when you travel to Mongolia. It's easily reachable on a tour when you get off the Transsiberian railway in Ulaanbaatar. The flaming cliffs and the shapes were really amazing!

Great video! Mongolia is on my bucket list for a very long time. It's the least densely populated country of the world and as such, I would love to experience the emptiness there. Are you guys planning to try out some cavalry archery? I heard that it's fun.
@NaickKim
5 жыл бұрын
Not the archery but yes we'll be doing horse trekking! Combining that with archery would be ambitious for us I think since we're novices 😉 sounds cool though, where did you find this? 😊

Ah a fresh goat slaughter to start the morning 😬😲 The terrain geography is stunning. Beautiful shots. And so windy amazing you didn't have drone issues at those heights. As Foodies you know we're kind of interested in how the goat tasted ;) Stay safe. Best, James and Kim
@NaickKim
5 жыл бұрын
Yes that was very... Surprising. Especially the way they did it. The drone can fly up to 70km/h so it's pretty sturdy. In our next video (tomorrow) we'll show you how they prepared the goat in a traditional Mongolian way (spoiler alert: it was delicious).

Crossed mongolian desert with the same "Buhanka" , or "sibirian bus", and see it in ur promo as well. Seems to be more popular than land rover in this region of the world) looks ugly, but it does what suppose to do - drive from point A to point B, offroad, can be fixed with a big hummer and few rude words) there was a famous offroad trip to Mongolia with land rover , called "kukusik trip" from Moscow , ended up in a disaster, the owner spent really a lot of money for endless, slow and super expensive repairment of this high tech engine..
@NaickKim
5 жыл бұрын
Yes we saw them everywhere in the desert. They are surprisingly comfortable. Most important is that they are bulletproof. We spent 8 days in it and it broke down 2 or 3 times, but it was fixed within 5 minutes. Most of the time the driver didn't even need to leave the van. I don't have a lot of experience with land rover,but they are notoriously unreliable. Pretty much all 4x4,s are Japanese here. We just met a guy in our hostel in Ulaanbataar who came here by bycicle. From Moscow!

@@NaickKim send him my best regards, please. There was time many Russians work in this mongolian city - building rail roads , red army officers , etc, so I met them later in ussr and knew a lot of exciting about this old land, I wish you a good journey and looking forward for new vlogs!
