Hello Dad./ As you mentioned it, I'm from South Korea. My father passed away just out of blue when I was 20. After that I worked on my life for so long. It's been about 12 years. I became a much stronger man than before. But still I don't know the exact reason sometimes I just dropped tears. I think I still need someone I can count on. And now I have two fathers. One is in heaven, One is here. Thank you for your warmed heart dad. I will be much stronger that I can support some kids like you. Stay healthy Dad.

I just wanted to take the time to write you a comment, even though you’re probably not going to see this. My dad left when I was 6 and I haven’t seen him since. He has no idea exactly how much I miss him and need him and it’s a terrible feeling knowing he doesn’t want to see you and doesn’t care about you. But you probably get a lot of these comments of kids telling you about their daddy issues haha I first found you trying to find out how to tie a tie for my first job interview at a pizza place around may. Great news I got the job!! But since then I’ve also changed my moms oil and her tire when we hit a nail. Thanks to you. I just wanted to say keep doing what you’re doing because if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t know how to do stuff I should know. This might sounds weird, but I really wish you were my dad. I probably wouldn’t feel as lost in life. Thank you for your videos and god bless you💙

My dad was an alcoholic (sober now) and my mom is a narcissist and bi polar. So being raised by some horrible people made me feel like I was the mom and I took care of my whole home. No one ever read to me or told me they loved me. So when you read a book I listened to it before I went to bed. I felt special that someone would take time out of their day to read to me . No child should feel like their parent is doing them a favor. I read to my girls and play barbies. Thank you for the channel. You also help me be a better parent because I was not shown how to and so sometimes my parents ways come out in me. Thank you again.

Your the dad that i wana be for my children if i have any, my dad is one of the worst, it wasn't that he wasn't around physically but he was never there for me mentally, I've felt alone my whole life, never actually felt loved, i had and still have alot of mental issues because of my family not being there for me, these last 2_3 years were my worst, had 5 suicide attempts and i was just numb, gave up completely, but this last month was literally the best month of my life, thanks to a girl i meet, we both wanted the same thing, being praised for us trying our best, my family still really hurts me mentally, a couple of days ago my mom said that i faked my panic attacks and schizophrenia these past years, hurt like every other time she says that, but this time i kept thinking that it's ok I'm not alone anymore, and whenever she has a problem we do our best together, i love her more than anything, her and my friends are my real family, at least my best friend didn't leave me like my real brother when i needed him, sorry for the long rant about me,i think what i wanted to say is that, thank you for being the dad that I've never had, your awesome, and btw you looking good for 50+ dad, don't tell others your 50+ say that I'm 38,love you dad.

Liking your advice...... When I was a kid.... my father used a scissor jack and the car shifted. The car landed on his chest. He laid there for a long time hollering before he made the decision to move hoping that it would not shift again. He crawled to the house door several feet away and banged on the door for my mother. She thought he was just fixing something. Moments later she decided to go tell him that he also needed to attend to another item on his chore list. That's when she found him on the ground......... He was told he was very lucky that he only had received a very bruised chest. My father knew better (he owned a car body shop), however he took a chance that , could have killed him. I look forward to learning something new .... keep it coming.👩🎓

I’ve been really struggling over the past few months. I missed my senior year of high school, everything from prom to graduation, even saying goodbye to my teachers. And this isn’t at all what I imagined my freshman year of college to be. But I’ve had my ups and downs. And I don’t think it’s some secret clock work in my brain. I think it’s more than that. It’s me choosing to wake up everyday, choosing to make something of my life. And you know what, if 90% of my life depends on how I react to things that happen to me, then I think I’m 90% of the reason I’m so happy right now despite everything that has happened.

Hey Dad, greetings from Florida! When I was 6 months old, my parents got divorced and I was raised by my mom. 23 years later, and my father and I met for the first time. Forgive. Always forgive. If not for him, for you. Now at 30, I prepare to be a dad myself. Thank you for the insights, the laughs, and the advice. Of all the channels I am a part of, this is the one I will tell my kids about, and remember forever.

I'm from Texas but living in Utah! Your videos give me comfort because I was disowned by my bio dad recently. He has mental health issues and is a narcissist. I've kept quiet and didn't respond to him even when he lashes out. So, your videos have been amazing for me to watch. I'm so glad I subscribed. I can't wait to meet more of your family!

Hi- I just discovered you, and your channel. This is a wonderful thing you’re doing. My father was 47 when I was born, and he didn’t engage with me too much. Not a bad man, just remote. He died in 1985. I’m 66 now, and always felt that loss. Watching your videos actually sometimes make me tear up. Just the simple gestures of kindness, patience, and guidance along with the practical life skills you demonstrate, are powerful and moving. What a GREAT idea, and a beautiful contribution!

This is one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. I was lucky to grow up with a mom and a dad who gave me solid moral foundations and integrity, but this channel is something else. Just watching your videos make me tear up, because it reminds me how much my dad taught me, and I learn a thing or two that my dad didn't get around to teaching me.

Hi dad! I'm from upstate New York, but right now I live in Washington state. :) My birth parents have narcissistic personality disorder, and were working through some addictions when I was young. Unfortunately, while I have forgiven them for the harm they have done to me, they continue to cause harm and are not interested in changing or growing as people. As a result, they aren't in my life anymore. I got the professional help that I needed, but I have had this gap in my life where parenting should have been. You have given me so much amazing advice and help through the content you put into the world. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

So...I didn't have any opportunity to learn how to fix water pipes, or any other things that a dad can really teach you. This channel is so special, at least for me. It is really nice to know that there's people like you out there trying to help people like me. Thank u so so so much, I'm really learning with your videos. I'll try my best!

I'm a single mom rasing a son who is now almost double digests. I am thankful you have made a channel like this with good and positive thoughts and ideal life tools to learn. It reaches a community that not has no choice but to try and be both roles, it reaches our children in need of these lessons and tools to learn that don't have that someone to teach them. Thank you for giving back to these boys without fathers or figures to teach them. They need it and so did we.

My grandfather was my only father figure and we never got to know each other very well. After he passed i spent some considerable time thinking and being in his space and around his things. He kept a very small well worn brass frame ( ~3") on his desk with essentially the same message inside. This was the first time I had encountered anything in relation to his own internal dialogue and helped me understand him as a real human being.

Among all of the wonderful things everyone has pointed out, I also just want to add that I find it very inspiring that what caused pain in your childhood (a broken family dynamic) is something that you're directly combating in so many of our lives with your content. It's really easy when you're in the thick of it, or when you're healing, to think that you'll never be okay, healed, or whole, but you are an example of overcoming trauma and using it to propel you into a greater purpose.I would love to hear more about your journey of healing from a broken family and how you overcame that experience.

I’m from the Netherlands. My parents split up when I was around 7 years old. My dad never left me, saw me and my siblings as much as he could. And I gained an amazing stepdad as well. I still suffer(ed) from depression and some general not-okayness, but having those rolemodels in my life helped SO MUCH. So the idea of offering something like that through youtube, to anyone that might need it, is amazing to me. I hope the ups will continue to outweigh the downs.
