I absolutely agree. I appreciate the work of Rachel, Julie B, and Gail Dines.

9:00- I don't think the problem is that the man isn't masculine and "can't" get a woman otherwise. The problem is with his desires, his wish to benefit at her expense, and his enjoyment of an act of sexual aggressive and vampirism. Real men don't pay because they know they don't need to? No. Real men don't pay because they don't want to hurt women. Not because 'they can get it otherwise'.

What a fucked up worldview. Even if this bs would be true, don't you think empowering the stigma "real men don't pay" won't backfire on those women, that are forced to work in the sex industry?

that was a hateful comment. sex is not one dimensional and its not one sided. the majority of prostitution sex is humanly degrading a violent and results in deep psychological insecurity. it is about time we start valueing each other not for the physical but for our mental and emotional range through skills, knowledge, ability to help one another ect. I am you we are each other is the greatest lesson we can learn. that and the sole notion that gender norms confined to a simple body type simply do not exhists. homosexuality and trans gender appearances in our populations prove this. people have difficulty rising when they are oppressed. this is often systematic and environmental. rising can only be done when you value your intrinsic internal qualities over all else, that you except that every person under the right circumstances has the potential to express this and succeed. we are here to help each other. not to hurt each other. we need to move away from just the physical because living through only the physical always leads to a dead end.

Arguments based on emotion, while powerful, are never a step in the right direction.

Emotion can greatly influence change correctly. The horrors of slavery traumatized many who worked to abolish it.

And emotion plays into this issue massively, as many sw either have mental health issues before and/or after
