So much so that here I am commenting🤦♀️🥴 It’s such a strong vibe that I can’t quite pinpoint; like she either looks a tad annoyed, not interested, not agreeing with anyone or almost a little left out. Can’t put my finger on it but whatever’s going on truly stands out from the others. She’s usually so upbeat that this feels odd🤔

I wish Kelsey and Becky would give Rochelle and Rachel more time to speak and share their thoughts. We know you like MCM and the colors green and brown. Rochelle is not afraid of color and Rachel has some modern spin on things. I don’t know if these are scripted or not but you all are supposed to be highlighting each others skills. Why not take one room and let each one of you redesign it. That way your submitter has 4 different choices.

I have a feeling Rochelle is a pretty big introvert and doesn't exactly mind being quiet. I do worry that because she started as a fan of the show, she may still feel unworthy of getting to be with these famous ladies. (I hope that isn't the case!) Anyway, I think Rochelle is delightful. She reminds me of my little sister, and she gives the spin of what normal people may want. I like her style and the different opinions she has compared to the other ladies. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

I just don’t think Rochelle has good style or maybe she hasn’t refined it yet. I was just very not impressed with her workshop makeover. It felt like someone just getting started designing and not someone with a design eye. She’s very skilled at hands on work and is very talented but she doesn’t seem like someone who can design well
@ArcaneGinger
2 ай бұрын
@scarletmorning9317 I agree, but I liked that she made it for herself. (And if I recall, she lives with her mom, so she may have gotten her mother's opinion before the makeover)? Where as the Becky and Kelsey tend to try to stick to a whole different level of perfection that they keep working towards... and I'm guessing they have more money they can throw at projects. 😅 Rochelle is an excellent wood worker, I think if she had the years of experience that Becky and Kelesy do, she would be unstoppable! Regardless, all the ladies are impressive with their individual skills.

i like the inspo for #1 with the large art and timber beams. you could so do that but have the bed floating in the room facing the window. make a room in a room from bedhead to brick window wall with beams. it will take away from the huge duct. im not sure if im explaining it well. you could also use your favorite curtains hung from the roof as a bedhead specially if its floating like i suggested. that way it doesnt block the light too much. place the butter dresser behind the bedhead to make a "dressing room" sort of place . i have more ideas but its better if i draw it too hard to explain.

I think you missed an opportunity with the first space. I’d have put the bed in the reading corner - darkest spot and out of the walking path - or the opposite wall it’s currently against if the corner is too small, and use the space in front of the giant window to create a lush lounging area with floor seating and a huge amount of pillows. Frame the windows with bookshelves and create a deeper windowsill for the curtains to sit in. It would be a good focus point when walking into the space. Some nice giant, high growing plants (maybe even vines growing upwards with support strings attached to the ceiling) between the bed and the sitting area to create separation.
@canwejustnot
2 ай бұрын
The second space too (It turned out a bit eclectic zoomer style instead of scandi), think of the lay out, it impacts feel so much. That couch turned with its back to the left wall, facing the entrance for good flow of the space. A broad, low scandi media concole on the opposing wall. Use the build in shelve that’s already there and add more shelving above. I’d put a collection of art and items on the wall behind the couch and a big wall carpet on the wall where you put the giant art. Separation of space with the white seat between the coffee table and the dining table. Can even add more seating now where the shelve wall will be. Keep the colours more muted like in the inspi pics instead of so primal and saturated.

I actually do something similar to your Pinterest game, only not with decorating per se. I go on "Pinterest Hikes" using their similar algorithm. I choose four photos, each one found from the last one chosen, and then post them on Facebook along with an imagined story of that hike. And they aren't all just hikes. Sometimes they are a boat, canoe, following an animal, flying or soaring like a bird (or UFO or broomstick if it's close to Halloween). And a few times I have done it sort of either decorating, like walking room by room in a haunted house, village cottage or abandoned cathedral. They are my most "liked" posts on Facebook. It's a way that I doodle. Peaceful.

The windows are a major challenge because I want to keep the industrial style but I need to block out the bright city lights. This video format is so fun! I'm currently obsessed with wine reds and berry tones, so I would have colourdrenched that bathroom in similar tones to the tile and made the grout darker to minimise the grid effect. I would also relocate my towels as far away from the toilet as possible... I know most of us are working with small spaces, but I really wish separating toilets from bathrooms would become mandatory in the building code... it's so gross.
