I'm not religious. I follow the traditions tied to my Grandmother Ruth, who was born on the Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Reservation; but of the three Abrahamic faiths if I were to choose one, it would be Judaism -- especially as you live it. In the Lakota traditions, as with many Indigenous ways, changes had occurred that seemed more about accommodating the newcomers from Europe. Wakhan Tanka was often explained to be the "red man's" way of saying God, as the very patriarchal Europeans saw it. But I explored this with a brother. The ancestors not too long ago spoke of "Le Wakhan kin," which simply translates as "the Holy." No further details were needed. It did not need to be anthromorphized. I have read a lot but my understanding of Judaism is minor compared to yours. I have read of a dialogue of long ago scholars and The One where they asked, "What are you?" The response every time they asked was "I am." That kind of approach helped me with understanding my own spirituality. Some things do not require a lot of detail; some offer us a lot in their wealth of details. I get the Forward email newsletter, which is how I learned about you and this video. You are incredible and a most extraordinarily beautiful person. Thank you for being you.

Shalom You are a beautyful young woman. At last we all womens and man's must live our ife . The gender what we are born isn,t important ,at last we have feelings of both sides I am thinking ,too and when a man or a boy wants to be a woman outside and inside his soul , he must change to be female. Ist,s the same for women who wants to be a man. I am thinking god is happy when humans are happy with their life . To study the torah is very good for women and men , for both sides in us. Lovely greetings from Sarah.🤗

While I appreciate Rabbi Abby Stein's pov, I wonder if Forward would consider providing another, but respectful, pov. I believe in the application of diversity and would like to hear other voices on this subject as well
