Thanks for uploading this. :) I used to travel from Rockingham to Joondalup in 2016 when I went to Joondalup TAFE. Never got tired of it honestly. If I could go back to Perth now, I'd do that trip all over again.

I went to Bunnings You're welcome! It is a good trip. Fast and reliable. I'm not sure why Perth people bag out public transport here. It's actually pretty good.

I agree. I've lived in Sydney (my birth city), Perth and Brisbane, and Perth definitely has the edge on reliable public transport, aswell as clean trains and buses and the least amount of delays. I can absolutely not say the same thing about Brisbane's public transport, which gets a lot of extremely undeserved praise IMO.

You'll never know how good it is until you live in a city with crap, unreliable and unbearable public transport, and I say that from experience. Although I don't live in Perth anymore (I live in Brisbane now), I gloat about the TransPerth network all the time. It's fast, sufficient, the timetable is excellent providing passengers on every line with plenty of services during the day (even more in peak), it's cheap and, more importantly, it's clean; you feel clean catching the train or bus. Not to mention that connections between transport modes works very well in Perth; bus services to any train station are aligned with the next train service to that station. Brisbane's public transport on the other hand ... yeah, we won't go there, for the sake of my own sanity. Besides, this is a Perth video. Of course everyone will brag about how good it is. 😛

@@paulwilliams5208 Oh wow, you may have seen me around a few times then, as I did some work at Shorncliffe earlier this year, and I used to have to catch the train from Narangba (Although now I have my P's, so I never catch the train anymore).

the wilsons I asked a railcar driver friend of mine about that and he says it's for South Perth station, which was supposed to be built in that location but never was.

I've never noticed that before! I wonder why they never built it - it's the PERFECT place for a station, even if it only catered to people going to the zoo lol

@@TassieDinkum90 There are a number of planned stations along the Perth to Mandurah line that will be built when demand is sufficient. South Perth is one of them. Aubin Grove Station was added recently, about 10 years after the completion of the line. Other planned stations are at Mandogalup and Lakelands.

Do you know why the trains stop just before narrows after Elizabeth quay
@BennettBrookRailway
6 жыл бұрын
F.nord As far as I'm aware they don't stop normally. They slow right down as that area is where there is an electrical 'neutral section', which is there to divide different areas of the overhead power supply. They slow down in those areas as they are not able to have power applied while they pass through them.

It used to stop at a red light there a fair bit was a not in service train I used to watch and take pics from up top of kings park maybe it doesn't do it anymore

it would stop at a red light cause it would be ahead of scheduled and it has to wait for the other train at Elizabeth quay to go ahead

RingLordSonic If you live in Perth and you're over 18, you should apply for a job as a driver with the PTA. With all the new Metronet lines being built soon, they're going to need lots of new drivers.

I would strongly suggest staying subscribed. My friend at the PTA informs me that they will need at least 60 new drivers before 2020.
