This is my 'primary go-to' technique if I want to create space or increase 'bounce' in an area that feels compressed or has a lot of tension.
With Transverse STR I can make a difference even in the most challenging situations. I can integrate it with ease into my regular form of massage, maintaining a more relaxed and enjoyable session but still being really effective.
If you are a PT or do a lot of dry manual work this can be integrated into your treatment with ease. For instance, when training a client it can be used to increase the accuracy of their movement i.e. when a client does an action that appears stiff or uneven, as in lunging or a squat, if you target the areas that are causing this stiffness using Transverse STR you can help to equalize the movement thereby increasing the accuracy and creating a better balance.
