Hey David not trying to tell you what to do but as a 70yr old man who has thrown a lot of weight around over the years especially bales of hay and logs for fire wood. Help save your back when you throw them pigs in the truck, put your knee into it to assist in the lift. Over time that dead lifts will wear the lower back out. God bless and have a great day

Yes, there is a big difference in muzzle velocity between short barrel revolver and long barrel gun.
@bg3160

Rifle allows all the powder to burn before the bullet exits the muzzle. The pistol barrel is too short so lots of the powder is wasted because the bullet exits the muzzle before it all burns.

You're doing a great job. I think last year you trapped over 130 hogs at the club and this year over 150. It's amazing how the numbers keep increasing. Uf they can do the damage to the duck hole imagine what damage they do to farmers' crops who make a living farming. I am on crabby, lazy old man. First get another winch to help and protect your back. If you a few hogs escape, but your trap is easier and faster to tear down I wouldn't change much.I'm are people will have some good ideas. I am guessing, as you mentioned, other trappers would be the best source for ideas.

He lifted things like a bull moose, not waiting for the mechanical lift devices. I’ve seen him laying in bed for weeks with herniated disks that required surgery. Hello David, I’ve liked your videos and have admired the engineering of your pig trap. It's amazing to see the response time of the pigs from the moment that they hear the traps gate trigger, to the moment that they strike the closed gate. Even In pitch darkness, from zero to hauling ass, those animals are fast. As well, even in pitch darkness, they know the direction of out. That is intelligence. They're an interesting animal.

Let me try and explain my idea on a removable jump ring. Get Red to cut 3 18 ' pipes per panel with about a 20 percent angle on them leaning inward. Weld a half cut pipe to the bottom of them then use muffler clamps to attach them to the tops, or drill holes and use the same size bolts that hold the trap together ( only need one socket ). Once that is done get some high strength netting to zip tie to the poles. Now you have six removable light weigh jump rings. Might be a good inexpensive fix. Oh and the haters. Whether they know it or not they are helping your channel just by watching and commenting. I personally am not much into the preaching and I do believe in god but this is your thing and I respect that. I love the channel and will continue to like and watch

Good morning David. What about welding a "lumber rack" setup on the trailer? The rear cross bar would be removable so you can walk the taller panels on. Turn them around opposite of how they are loaded in this video so you can keep the profile lower. The upper panels could then stack on the lumber rack leaving room on the deck for legs or other things. With this, you could use either vertical or horizontal extensions that are permanently attached. As for the haters, remember this. If you are having an argument with a fool, what is the other person doing? The same thing!

You loose velocity in the handgun because of the short barrel. The rifle barrel let's the powder burn and give the bullet more power and speed. Before we had to sell our place in central Texas I had a big trap. Loved trapping them. My dad gave me his S&W .41 magnum....honey that handgun would lay em down. No problem.Look at what it was though. That's why it worked so well. Dad made me carry it when I would go to my deer blind in case I ran into any big hogs after I parked my ranger and walked in and out. Don't worry about what the haters say. Another great video. I did not see where you were aggravated while explaining/defending the traps that you use. You know what they say about opinions. Back pain is no fun. I used to start the day out with ibuprofen with breakfast for osteoarthritis in spine and hands, and for sciatica. I can no longer take it because of taking a blood thinner and I now feel like the Tin Man every day, and yes it will make you cranky to be in pain. Wish you had some help loading the hogs, you are still young and the back trouble ain't going to get easier. Thank you for all you do to keep the hogs in check. God bless you, your family, and I am still praying for your health. Thanks
