Marymount should be on every car enthusiast's bucket list. As good as this episode of MCCTV is it barely scratches the surface; the property is 70+ acres and after the visitor gets saturated strolling through the inside collections there's a whole new world outside and in the back. The cliche "It boggles the mind." is operative here.

God Bless this man Harold LeMay. He has preserved Amerian history with his passion for colleting. There needs to be a museum and I'm glad he and his family has plans to accomplish this. Something like the Barber Motorsports Museum in Alabama. Harold LeMay has left his mark on US History. Of course the LeMay family's plans for this museum must inlude culling his colletion down to the really important vehicles. Selling these surplus vehiles to other colleters and using these funds to establish the permenent Lemay museum. Good luck LeMay family, Harold LeMay was one of a kind. Thank you Harold LeMay.

We had no idea who he was or what he had. He graciously took us around. We went into a building that had about 10 cars in it. I said wow you have a lot of cars. He laughed and said you want to see some more? Ok. We went into the next area. There was another 10 cars. I said it again you have a lot of cars. He laughed and said you want to see some more? Ok. Next area another bunch of cars. I said wow how many cars do you have? He said I don’t know about 22 or 23 hundred. I’m not sure I remember the numbers right. Our minds were blown. He was very funny and friendly. I remember it was hard to keep up with him. He walked very fast. Great guy!!

I visited the LeMay collection some 20+ years ago, or whatever portion of it was available, because it's not possible to take it all in one day. The car I remember most was parked at the spot shown @ 0:10 - It was a 1961 Chrysler 300 G convertible with the crossram 413 engine. First one I ever had the chance to examine up close. Loved seeing this video again. It's important to remember that there is two uniquely different Lemay museums in the Tacoma area. One being the Original and oddly somewhat forgotten Lemay Collections at Marymount. This collection in on 88 acres has over 500+cars and many historic artifacts collected by Lemay Family. It is open 6 days a week and you can also get a tour of the Lemay homestead with its 300+cars and Nancy's famous doll collection. The other Lemay collection is America's car museum. This is the more publicized museum next to the Tacoma dome. It Represents a few of Harold's cars and quite a few from other collections. I recommend you take the Time to see both of these museums.
