I'm agree, for me it's an opportunity to re-invent yourself, but you gotta work!! So yes, travel is not an escape; is just and opportunity to start a long process. Greetings! I like your energy 😄

I guess it's all relative. I think more you have to know your why. So, for example, you can't run from your problems, but if your problem is one of PHYSICAL LOCATION.... uhhh sure you can LOL. I live in America. I don't hate America. I actually love America. But I think America has some race problems that I don't like. Can I leave America? Absolutely. The problem is no place is void of some level of racism. So, in that sense can't run from the problem. But I can be in a place with less racism. I get it, the sentiment. Travel is not a fix all, but wow does it feel good to, as you said, get out of your comfort zone, see, feel, and experience different things. You're a kindred soul Sara. I know exactly what you mean about the ability to be alone and not be lonely. I experienced exactly what you said about Colombia. I've been all over Latin America, but Colombia was the first place I went to where English is really not widely spoken or known by the majority of the population. I loved it. My Spanish never ramped up as quickly as it did in Colombia. I LOVED being forced to use my Spanish. Ultimately, I find travel very therapeutic. I don't look at travel as an escape even though I am in fact searching for 'something'. People can be very judgmental. Especially with this social media craze. Screw it. I'm 51 years old and I've learned exactly what people can do with their opinions of someone else's life choices. live and let live. Those people telling you your flaws, are the very people that have never traveled farther than their town or state. If they had, they'd know the simple joy you can get from travel. I will always recall my first trip to Colombia. People were so concerned. Don't get kidnapped. Don't get robbed. On and on it went. It ended up being one of the best trips of my life. I've really learned that while I would never say don't listen to people, just know how to segment what advice people give you. Good video. Oh, I mentioned in previous comments early retirement.... I'M NOW RETIRED!!!! My first stop in my journey though will be Panama. Colombia is still a bit challenging for long term renting and I'm not ready for that ... Come on Colombia, please revamp your foreigner renting policies (I don't know how I would get a cosigner). Maybe one day. Okay way off track. I also learned early in life that you have to approach things knowing you could fail, but that you need to look for the lessons in that failure. Really good video here.

There’s one quality (with two elements) that comes across with you - you are down to earth and honest. I honor that quality in you. I’m in agreement with all you said in this video. I would add that what I have discovered is that travel is the best form of education, which makes you a better person overall, regardless of your profession or occupation. Those who travel a lot can better understand and grasp complex concepts of life as opposed to those who don’t. Keep up the good work Sara.
