Traveling means, among other things, meeting people, discovering countries, learning about cultures and getting closer to new languages. The markets are a great place to take advantage of your life on the road, so for us the opportunity to pass through Otavalo (Ecuador), where every Saturday takes place the largest craft market in South America is really very tasty. This important and famous indigenous market is particularly known for the quality and variety of textile products it offers. But not only that, we dive for the whole day through the streets of the city and discover musical instruments, ancestral traditions, street food, wooden crafts and of course him, the most famous hat in the world, Panama. We parked our 4x4 camper in the parking lot in the square, along with other vans and camper van and we are ready to start the visit. Come with us to discover this fantastic place located at 2500 Meters above sea level and in the presence of three impressive Ecuadorian volcanoes.
Who we are:
Simone and Lucia, a couple on a full-time trip from April 2017 on board our truck to which we gave the name Valentino. We started from Italy not for escape, far from it, we did it to discover the world that hosts us, the people who live it, their different traditions, the endless and fascinating cultures that make humanity the most beautiful thing there is. We started to immerse ourselves in nature, to see and touch the fauna and flora that enrich our planet making it the most precious thing we have. We travel aware and proud of our Italian culture, something that is part of us and of our way of relating to the people and peoples we meet. We use what precious our country has given us to discover more than others, but also to reciprocate with what we are.
