Information from other fellow vegan travelers, are always beneficial! Thank you for the video! My sister and I take a lot of wraps, dried fruit, crackers, and whatever types of nut butters or condiments we can. So if we run into a crunch, we can at least spread the butter or condiments on the wraps or stuff them with whatever veggies are fruit we can find.❤

Great video as usual! Can you please do a video of your favorite places to travel for vegans/vegetarians? Like favorite cities/restaurants (not just continents)? Maybe even a collab with other vegans who travel and what their fav places are (for example lauren toyota, cheap lazy vegan, edgy veg, rayawashere, caitlyn shoemaker, etc)? It might be a good way to reach a new audience too! Thanks!

I feel your struggles! I, too, have some food intolerances and have to prepare myself for everywhere we travel! We typically rent Airbnb for accommodations unless we're staying with a friend, that way we have a kitchen. That often saves my gut and helps us save money too! 😊 I also make sure I keep up on my probiotics - build up the good bacteria! Thanks for sharing your tips! - Brittany 💕

When I went to Barcelona, My boyfriend and I went to a restaurant near our hotel because we were on a tight schedule, and it was siesta hour, so not many places were available. No vegan options. This restaurant had one vegetarian pizza and pasta, but everything else was drenched in cheese or butter. I was ready to just eat bread but my boyfriend encouraged me to ask the waitress if there’s anything that could be done. I ended up asking her if the chef could just sautee pasta with garlic, oil, and mushrooms. They were kind enough to do it and it was delicious! I’m sure that if you ask politely and are understanding of the fact that the chef can deny your request, staff will do their best to accommodate you. Just don’t be extra -___-

Try the app vegan passport!!! It helped us immensely. All you need to do is either select the country you’re in OR the local language, it then brings up all the information in the local language. They even have a diagram showing what you don’t eat for areas where you cannot find the right language.

Last November I was on a tour group through various places in Nepal and we stayed at high end hostels to low end hotels. As a vegetarian I was scared that the buffet meals we would eat for breakfast and dinner would have meat, however I was pleased to find out it is standard for buffets in Nepali accommodation to have rice, a carb (eg potato/pasta ect.), a fresh vegetable dish, a vegetable curry, and only 1 meat option. The vast majority of the time all 4 of the vegetarian dishes to be vegan too, apart from once where the curry was a paneer. From my experience with accommodation meals, restaurant meals and street food, Nepal is very vegetarian/vegan friendly, and would highly recommend it for travellers with those dietary requirements

I've recently found out that I'm lactose intolerant (which sucks, because I love cheese so much) and next month we're going on our honeymoon. This is my first time traveling since I've been diagnosed, so I'm really glad you presented us with the Happy Cow app. I wanted to ask you if you can recommend me any good vegan restaurants in Scotland/UK in general. I also want to suggest anyone having lactose intolerance to check with your doctors if they can prescribe you lactase (it's the enzyme that helps you digest lactose) just in case you only find veggie options that include dairy. It really saves you in those moments when you're starving and can't find any suitable food around. Thank you Nadine for your help! Much love from Argentina ❤

Lactose intolerant people can eat lots of cheese. It's a huge misconception that all dairy products have lactose. Camembert and brie for example have only trace levels of lactose, if any. Aged cheese's as well have little to no lactose.

I just wanted to say how helpful you are. I am also a vegetarian. It's a bit difficult to travel while vegatarian. This video will probably really help me out in the future. I had a family ask me if I wanted to travel europe with them. My parents said "unless you get $10,000, you can't go." Do you have anyways for a 13 year old to get enough money to travel? I just thought this might be a good video idea. If don't have much time, only about a year and a half. This is also the only time I can go with this family, because it's their last time. Can you just help me budget enough? Thank you for all your videos. I love traveling, and would like to travel over seas. You literally inspire me. I'm also entertained because I love traveling. Thank you so much, your one of my favorite channels. Have fun on your future travels. Also, how do you make so much money to travel to do many countries?

Great video! Although I'm neither vegetarian nor vegan, I really like how there are more and more restaurants which are providing vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. I went to a vegan restaurant in Nashville at the end of December, and I had some amazing sweet potato and black bean tacos. They were so good that I didn't even miss beef or chicken in them! Best of all, the restaurant used local produce whenever possible.

Great tips! I'm vegetarian och allergic to dairy so I eat vegan food most of the time and HappyCow is truly the best!! TripAdvisor can't be trusted in the same way because a restaurant marked as 'vegan options' might mean that there is a vegan starter... Also when flying or going by train, boat or any other mean of transportation, always bring food!! There has been many times where they given my food to someone else or don't offer vegan options even If they say that they do on their website...

Unfortunately I get very sick having traces so will just not eat at places that can not tell me. Should a vegan eat vegan options from a regular restaurant? Most restaurants have some type of meat there, including pork. So they are not clean enough. The dishwashing liquid that they use is made from meats. Be careful! They fry the vegan burger patty on the same grill that they cook all meats. No offense, just sharing info.
