@planbskater565 True, its not impossible to change technique, although it does take time. But judging by the music he's played to in the past outside of blink 182(hip hop/rap) It seems that he doesn't change a thing in his approach to acompanying the genre/song. He just plays the same way, loud, arms flaring and with a punk feel. But again im sure he could change, anybody could with enough determination. The thing I admire the most in musicians is the ability to cover up there musical accent.

@thefays15 Have you ever seen Tony Royster Jr. play? I think his overall feel, chops, ablility to play in odd time signitures far exceed travis's. But that's because the type of music Tony Royster plays requires all of those abilities. In the end thats what it comes down to, travis wouldn't be able to play in a funk fusion/jazz setting.

travis barker is a good drummer. he doesn't have the best ear in the world, but he's a prime example of why you should practice rudiments. I just don't prefer his hitting style, a little excessive and tasteless if you ask me.

@thefays15 compare him to thomas lang or mike mangini and he they are amazing drummers travis is is simply average

Travis is an amazing drummer. Way more then just "average". He just doesn't use a double kit pedal/bass drums. Therefore you can't compare them to him to Thomas Lane or Mike Mangini. Now if he was using double bass then yes but for him only using single bass no. Plus everyones got their own style and technique.
