I have been going to moshpits for about 7 years now and likely been to almost a hundred and that’s the exactly how i was always treated and exactly how i treated everyone else. This concert was due to poor security and thousands of concert goers storming the gates and pushing to get the front of a show with thousands of other concert goers to all get to the same place. It’s not a regular concert with a couple thousand, this was a festival. The blood is on the concert goers hands. Any logical person who’s been to a mosh pit show knows how to act in that situation. No amount of panic, drugs or excitement to get closer to the stage could allow me to knowing step on other people to get past them. A human stampede is what happened. @@aidanmackenzie1042 Sure he’s partially responsible but I don’t even think he’s the main culprit. The absolutely awful floor planning, security/medical situation where there clearly weren’t enough people and the idiocy of the crowd itself with people climbing on the ambulance are also very much responsible. People don’t realize when you have a million things going on it can actually be very hard to see/hear on stage. Travis did stop the show a few times for medical staff to help people when he saw, but I mean it was a huge crowd and there’s a million lights shining in his eyes and it’s super loud, he can’t hear and see everyone at once. I genuinely believe he didn’t know what was happening so yeah he should have stopped the show in retrospect but I believe him when he says he wasn’t aware of the severity of the situation. Why was the event staff made aware of the situation and didn’t notify Travis, letting him do another 35 minutes of performing. If something is wrong the staff are supposed to let Travis know, I’m fairly certain he’d have an ear piece or something for stuff like that. The Houston police knew about it but decided not to stop the show when they absolutely had the authority to force them to end early.

The idea of other shows being wild, like with moshpits, is such a key point. Moshpits get wild for sure, but if you get knocked down, you're immediately picked up by at least three people in the pit. There was also an eerily similar tragedy in 2000 at the Roskilde festival, during Pearl Jam's concert. Ten people died - 9 at the festival, 1 later at the hospital. The only difference between the two incidents was that Pearl Jam did their damn best to get people to stop pushing up to the front, with Eddie Vedder saying pleadingly "on the count of three, take three steps back, ok? One, step back, two, step back, three, step back. Ok, one more time" and going on like that over and over and over again, his voice growing more and more panicked and desperate. And what did Travis Scott do? He looked at the ambulance, said something like "woooww, everything ok?" And then went on with the show while people were screaming for their lives.

He must have a shit lawyer if they let him do that interview. What is crazy is when you look at recent festival tragedies all the tops ones are fire. The ones that are trample/crush are all about the same death toll 9-11 people. And reading reports of those crushed cases they all appear to be lack of security or poorly managed infrastructure. The band Who concert only had 25 officers for crowd control as one example. These festival deaths have been known about and the reasons behind them clear. If you have trample death it is mostly likely lack of staff. There is reports of people working there that didn't even show their ID and they were security. Travis and the production company cheaped out hoping to pocket the profits. The courts need to make an example out of Travis and this production company, they need to send a message to anyone else trying to reduce safty for profits. A lot of people have trauma now too, imagine seeing someone die in front of you when you just wanted to have fun. Make them pay (in money no blood).

The Bad Bunny concert was held up here in Puerto Rico over the weekend. 35k people at the Hiram Birthorn baseball field and everyone was scared it was gonna be Astroworld all over again. Instead, even if the first day the entering logistics were dogshit, everyone was so understanding. At the line, a couple of people fainted because we were piled up like sardines, but each time the response from the crowd was quicker. Bad Bunny at one point stopped the show mid-song because people on the front were letting him know a light caught fire. Overall, the crowd was all well aware of the risks and were acting quickly, as well as Bad Bunny, which I think came in part because of this incident. Apart from a couple people fainting, there were no casualties on the event.

@@HOWZERGOD Love people that talk shit without knowing lol. Puerto Rico doesn't have big arenas or venues that can hold more than 18.5k people. Plus, this isn't the first concert that was held up on the Hiram Birthorn. Artists have performed there since the 60s, like The Jackson Five in 1973, Ozzy Osbourne in 1984, Sting the year after, Bon Jovi several times, Whitney Houston in 1994-hell, even Metallica was scheduled to play during their Nowhere Else to Roam tour in 1993, but had to cancel because it rained. More recent performances include Shakira in 2000 and 2003, as well as Rihanna in 2013. Artists nowadays just prefer to perform on the designated venue, which is el Choliseo José Miguel Agrelot with a previously mentioned capacity of 18.5k people. Meanwhile, Bad Bunny managed to fill at capacity the 35k limit of the Hiram Birthorn court for two days: 70k people, including locals and visitors from around the world. If someone saw something they’d help if the performer saw something they’d stop the concert and say something. It’s called respect mosh pits and raging isn’t the issue it the lack of respect for each other. His team not cutting corners and not paying enough staff or paying people at all was the problem. Again a respect issue because they want to take everyone money but not provide proper security.

They should be able to create infrared sensors that detect how dense a crowd is and play a siren and immediately stop the music when a crush is occuring. Hopefully people will react in a safe and appropriate measure if they treat it like a fire drill / fire emergency because they are clearly equally as dangerous. Crushes happen yearly all over the globe. Mecca is a place where it tragically happens often due to poor crowd control. This is a problem with a solution we just need to implement.

His reputation is probably damaged in the public now and in the forseeble future, but like so many celebrities and artist before him, he will come back. Maybe not bounce back, and probably not in a year or two, but the wider public forgets, and Travis is too profitable and popular to fail. I wish causing death to multiple people, would end a career, but it doesn't. There is simply too much money being printed, and that has made Travis irreplaceable.
