I have no issues with the tumbled leather at all or overall quality of the materials. I’ve seen several pairs already in person and the tumbling varies. It’s a characteristic of tumbled leather originating at the tannery. When the article is produced there are certain areas of the hide that may have more and some areas have less. Each is then cut to be used on certain areas of the shoe based on variations or inconsistencies. The final product will have slight variations from pair to pair and can sometimes be almost smooth looking to extremely tumbled.
