After 2 years, I finally invested in the 1/16 E- Revo XLT. What an awesome vehicle! I cannot believe something that small has THAT much power. I thought the 1/10 scale vehicles were bad ass. The 1/16 scale are INSANE!

Learning about it as well. Shocks to stiff. It's not supposed to bounce. Just enough suspension to lift wheels up. Chassis is gonna get scratched off-road. Car needs to look as if floating across the terrain . Have many cars and trucks. Brushed, brushless, and nitro. Gearing change would help with temperature issues. Need to have multiple gears for different applications. Where everything works together. But when you want speed for only 1 to 3 passes before you have to turn off . No fix. Have 2 ratios for mine. Haven't gotten into it yet. Still playing with new RPM upgrades and what else is needed. Like turn buckles for rear alignment and tie rod for front. Rpm hub/ carriers . Piggy back shocks. Haven't ran it once. Got lucky in lot buy of 5 and picked up a 2nd 6 months later before working on it. Have a carpet car wanna build into pro street elim. Just started working on electric so curious to see how fast I can make it go.

What would recommend for less bounce? Backing off the shocks a bit or possibly upgrading to a stiffer spring?
@johnramirez5996
2 жыл бұрын
@@jescagvil not stiffer 1 . It will bounce more. Softer. Back adjustments off. Change pistons inside shocks. More holes more fluid transfer during compression. Then readjust spring tension. Set on table grab 1 wheel at a time. Should be able to lift up tire without lift chassis. Steers better under most extreme terrain.

Compaired to the Dromida 14.8 Truggies, the E- Revo is amazing. I purchased the 1/16 Slash for my grandson for Christmas and got me the 1/16 E- Revo for myself. Its an awesome vehicle. Yes parts break, but its still a blast to run.

How long did you have yours before you sold it and what upgrades did you have? Did you bash it hard like take to skate parks and get jump big air with it or not so much? I don't really bash mine too hard and since I've upgraded the A-Arms to RPM and the steering servo I really don't have any issues with it hardly ever.

I mostly drove on the street or at a bmx bike jump park. I bought a brushed version then converted it the the brushless VXL. I had traxxas pro-response wheels and proline bow-tie tires, Savox servo, rpm axle knuckles (I wish I got aluminum) , rpm front arms, summit purple springs for the shocks, traxxas aluminum toe link balls, hot racing steering bell crank, motor fan, speed pinion I think 28 tooth

Skate parks will definitely tear up your cars especially if your jumping. I try to stay away from them lol. It looks like both of our cars were upgraded almost the same. What about Rear A Arms? I need to replace one of the shocks on mine. Are you thinking of picking one up again?

I just did the front arms. Never had a problem with the rears. I’ve stripped out 2 front diffs and three rear diffs most of them on 2s lipo i rarely used 3s lipo. I would get another one but I don’t want to put that much money into it again
