Nice! Get some G10 or Linen Micarta like tactical knife handles. You can get it in sheets! In the thickness you made the Plexi ones and it will be super tough and rigid. Just my 2cents.

Hard shocktowers make sense in the rear. But they do take away some initial steering input in the front. And it can become a bit snappy by experience.

Your workmanship was very good and you never know until you try something. It's more rewarding to design something yourself. Your camera work was excellent in this video.

if you can turn this design into a 2D file its pretty easy and economical to get them cut out of all kinds of material. I've used sendcutsend for tons of RC stuff, I've had entire chassis cut out of carbon for less than $20.

Ive raced my slash a few times indoor clay track as well, for the shock towers i went with RPM so far so good, an using proline powershocks front an rear, shock oil 50wt and 45wt helped alot as well

Very cool, yeah graphite would be much better. The other route you could have gone was making a support to stop the flex. I did that with my Monster Beetle (different vehicle I know). It was a 3D printed frame or strut that went on an angle from the top of the front shock tower, back on an angle to a spot on the chassis. It worked a treat.

If you use a little blow torch or some kind of flame it will clean up those machining marks on the plastic

I use Traxxas SRT shock towers (part number is 2518)...need some standoffs for it but I'm happy with them. They are the stiffest and lightest I could find. I loved the look of your clear plastic stuff, might wanna use plexiglass instead of acrylic. Will you be doing the same for your Bandito or is that done?

RC tip soldering you feel your tip up with solder on your soldering iron put flux on wire and tab on motor hold wire on tap and then put the soldering tip with all the solder onto the wire and tab it comes off the Soldering iron onto the wire, clean, smooth, your soldering job looks like you put solder on wire and then try to get wire to stick to motor and it winds up looking like poop 😎🦾🔥🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
