Racing 1/8 across California for many years I’ve seen guys with more money than skill. I love how you show that tires and suspension are one of the best adjustments people can make . Most want to start with power or change 10 things at one time . Enjoying your videos . 🤙🏼

I am loving these videos. It makes me want to buy a Bandit and go stick it to the "pro racer" at the local hobby shop one of these weekends. He's a huge Traxxas hater for no good reason when you're trying to spend money in the store.

I’m really enjoying your stock traxxas videos. I find it more fun just going back to basics. Instead of “I have to have the best” just go out there and have fun with some budget friendly RC’s. My son and I have several Team Associated SCT’s and Buggies also some Slash 2wd converted LCG and a 4WD slash anyways, we went back and got some basic stock Slash’s and have more fun than ever. That’s what it’s all about HAVE FUN

It’s almost always going to come down to the driver, but even more so with these 2wd classes. When you get into the 4x4 classes where the trucks are easier to drive fast and more forgiving, I think the more consistent handling of the race kits will show up better. But even then I think it’s mostly driver and tire selection. If I had to guess, all the racers on that drivers stand could randomly trade remotes with someone else and the race again and the finishing order would be pretty similar.

Biggest disadvantage the Slash has is weight, even with the LCG chassis. I'd be interested to see a weight comparison of one of your competitors 'race' trucks vs your slash in the next video. At my local track (which has a *lot* of long time racers, who seriously out skill me) I could never get within 4 laps of their overall times during racing, but I had a lot of fun trying.

My 'stock' truck is a 4x4 slash vxl. By stock i mean factorious motor and esc. It runs 18/50 gearing. Ally shocks, wheels and tyres, centre diff, and a sway bar kit. So just handling mods really. Asthetics, it looks like your mod stashito runs rpm front and rear bumpers. If they are rpm, i run the same only as you can fit a wheelie bar. Racing, probably not such an issue, but for bashing the vxl slash gets hot so i run aftermarket fans on the motor and esc. They help but just by prolonging the overheating time. My 'stock' slash tops out at 65mph. My very heavy and non stock properly basher, a traxxas maxx converted to 6s with all the bits and 27/46 gears tops out at 92mph. Slash is way cheaper....
