Good video. One thing I've noticed about your videos is that the audio is very low. Even at max volume in the video player it's hard to hear you on a phone or mobile device. Maybe something to think about in the future when mixing your videos.

If you run in gravel, add some sort of rock guard. My Rocket fan only last one or two packs. I printed a guard and put it on a cheap fan. Ended up having to add some tiny rubber spacers to keep the guard off of the blades. So far, so good.

Really good tip with 6V - take from the receiver. It is not in any manual or guideline that is possible to connect ventilator there. I bought also 35mm fan(WP3510SH from HobbyWing) and bought also longer servo cabel(because it had only 70mm cable) for the fan and they did not have 2 pin on the stock. Its working okay for me. Your aluminium looks better, but it takes month to deliver into my Country so i must take what shops have on stock :-D

Thank you. You are one of the more helpful KZitemrs, especially among the Sledge's hype. Do you recommend sway bars? My use case is not high jumping but desiring stability in large, rough fields. Avoiding rollover. I'm new to this level of power.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I would def recommend trying sway bars. They make a huge difference on most cars. I’m planning on trying some myself. I’ve also been experimenting with them on my rock crawlers. I’ll try to get some good video comparisons with and without sway bars.

Thank you for making this video. It was very helpful to me. I just ordered a fan and some m2 screws to mount it. Please keep the informative sledge videos coming. I would love to see how you set up the suspension, and I think the fan in the vxl6 is pretty weak too. I think I'm gonna put a better one in it as well. Do you think droop screws would be a good thing on the sledge? Thanks again. You the man!

As a brand-new Sledge owner, your videos have been super valuable! Thank you. Which batteries are you using? I just barely caught a glimpse, but can't quite make out the model of Hoovo you are running. I can't find a good battery combo (either one 6s or two 3s) that fit the battery tray. I even sanded the underside of the battery tray cover to provide an extra 2mm of clearance, and I'm still having battery fitment issues with my 6000 Hoovo 6s.
@rcilluminati26
2 жыл бұрын
I have a few different brands. The Hoovo in the vid is just a 4S. Their 6S 5200 seems to be a good fit so I'm going to order a few of those. Its difficult to find a 3S pair that arent too thick. I really like the latch system so I'd rather not modify it to a strap like some are doing. I'm also runnung the same 6S in a UDR so that limits my choices even more.

With the motor being in an open area, it’s more effective to blow cool air toward it. Think about being in a hot room, a fan blowing on you is better than it blowing away from you.
