i wanna add onto the adult living with their parents. I have several friends, 35 or older, who are living with their parents because their parents are 70 or 80 and cannot rely on each other to do certain tasks. so yes it's bad to live at home, but at the same time if you're the only one able enough to help family AND work a job then more power to you

I agree most adults living with there parents or relatives are going to school and it’s easier to pay for schooling and not pay to stay with family. Its not always the adult being lazy. I don’t expect vlad to understand this seeing as he is well off and disconnected from society. It easier to say you were living on your own when the cost of living was cheaper. That whole I pulled myself up by my own bootstraps mentality is easier if you already have money.

Shit I’m 48 and living with my parents, looking for a perm job, and it’s been 4 years. I get a short term temp job once or twice a year, but it’s been tough searching. But yes, the sense of urgency is not quite there compared to when I had my own place. You kind of get comfortable after a while, because how else are you gonna act at your parents? I don’t feel guilty about it at all now.
@j.a.c.3776
4 жыл бұрын
@@hollywoodcheremonkey sense of urgency should always be there. There should be a sense of pride that comes from standing on your own 2. I recently went through a divorce, my credit was shot, and I was $62K in debt. I had the option to go back to my mother's, but I chose to get a van, and live in it while working 2 full time jobs. I believed that I made my bed, therefore, I should lay my head. There's no shame in utilizing that option of going back to your parents to regroup. I had to do that when I was 19. But, to get comfortable or complacent in that situation just because you know you can is shameful to me. For me, it's about dignity and pride as a man. I could never be comfortable DEPENDING on other people, but to each his own.

With education and for people to find a passion something else that is not related to drugs. People who get addicted are often people who get trapped in a cycle of not knowing what to do. By helping people to find something they like and what they can become passionate about in a positive way is how we prevent people from getting lost.

It also doesn’t help that in today’s society jobs don’t pay shit anymore. All the big corps sucked up all the opportunity nowadays you have to have atleast a “college degree” to make more then 8-10 dollars an hour. I see why people don’t want to participate in working a job it’s nun but a world of fake ass shit just like regular society almost like no escape from it so people choose/walk there own path for sum hussling or Robbing but to each his own because at the end of the day I’m in my lane since I don’t want somebody in mines.

Well said sir, that's when LIFE gets real. You ask yourself, what can I do, you wish you'd paid attention in school, got that education instead of playing and saying FUCK IT. You find out real quick you can't bullshit your way through in the work world and they don't feel sorry for you cause every year there's a new crop of educated young people who took the real World seriously and making sure your ASS is not in way at the job interview. Being a rapper and dope slinger is the wrong answer on a application, real talk. Much love from Jacksonville Fla.

I wouldn't say its laziness so much as conditioning. I agree with what he says about not wanting to be a citizen though. A job? Cool, now im making a fraction of what I used to make, im wearing myself out physically and mentally and I have to take orders from some punk id really just like to head butt. Its a fucking hard adjustment man....some will not be mentally capable of it. FACTS

The logic of this conversation leads one to conclude that the masses of people around the world are poor bc they are too lazy to work. I suggest reading the studies of William "Sandy" Darity's work or inviting him for an interview if you're going to feign expertise on this subject. For some reason, Hip-Hop media outlets are so afraid to engage an actual economist who's an authority in this field.
