Just a reminder to everyone - Suge Knight was never a piru (blood). He knew pirus from Compton (Neckbone, Heron, Buntry, etc.) and used them as security and his personal crew, but he was never an official MOB Piru member. Tray Deee on the other hand is a legit OG crip from LBC and Suge knew he couldn't mess with him. Tray is not a small dude to begin and he's put in plenty of work to where is legitimately feared and respected by many sets.

You guys realize that those are the colors of Jamaican flag where Bob Marley is from..? Those colors are way older than that youngster 69 dude. He had nothing to do with those colors getting popular for people to use.. Also Getta Stark has a good point.. Death Row could have thrived, if they wouldn't let all that street shit get in the way of the Hip Hop they were supposed to represent. That's why they fell.. For immature egotistic street shit getting in the way of their business taking place in the culture of Hip Hop. Yeah I understand that especially the people fro the streets are the ones who are mostly part of this culture, but that only means more, that they should know better than that to not make all the foolery part of it.

@IYC0370
6 жыл бұрын
Unless we know them personally then no one really knows why he didn't let him sign but your reasoning doesn't seem likely. At that particular time Suge hadn't become the 'Suge' of 93, 94, 95 and 96. He was still thugged but less of a trouble maker at that time. No one could have known what was gonna happen to DR. I think the reason was Dre just didn't want his lil brother underneath him - more of a sibling rivalry as opposed to him wanting to protect Warren G from DR. Either way it was the best decision for Warren G to not get signed with DR.

@@weworldwide1348 he dropped regulators when he was on def jam not death row
@djhaynes99
6 жыл бұрын
I don't reckon that's right, in the book mentioned Have Gun Will travel the reason Warren G didn't sign to Death Row was because Suge fell out with him at a boat party just after Doggy Style was released. Suge apparently beat him up, Warren G says his album on Death Row wasn't going to be released until the late 90's, that's why he signed to Def Jam. He was totally right to do this, Suge pushed loads of artists albums back like Nate Dogg's and Rage's, then in the meantime signed artists like Hammer and Danny Boy that didn't really work well on the label.

@Simply Gem tell me about it dude's a washed-up B-Team DJ and somehow, he's KZitem Royalty now He does shitty interviews, asks the dumbest questions, and thinks he knows everything that went down back in the day. You can read it on most rappers faces (at least the old-school ones) that they really don't want to be there fielding questions from this idiot.

JK number5 That Jayo Felony was a classic but they didn't know how to market a west coast album.Warren G was lucky bcuz that song Regulate was already a hit on Above the Rim soundtrack then his affiliation with Death Row made people anticipate his album

@Master of the U-N-I Jayo Felony album "Whatcha Gonna Do" was market just fine. Meth Red Mac10 & W.C was on that album. I have that on cassette tape and it was my favorite year in Hip Hop{98}. "Take A Ride" was still his best work to date. @Jail time jake I was a big SCC fan also... "N Gat's We Truss" was their best album

JK number5 That what I was talking about Take A Ride should've went platinum or at least gold.The music was classic I gotta go back and see what happened to the producer on that album.His second album was alright I honestly forgot about it.That Wut U Gonna Do song was wack it was just something to put other Dec Jam artist on as a posse cut.Jayo didn't need any of them to shine tbh he was better than all of them and that's saying a lot considered who was on that song.Jayo was known to tear apart rappers east coast rappers battling and had mad respect on the east bcuz he was a true lyricist and arguably the best gangsta rapper out the west
