This movie really is an underrated gem, and I can really relate to Jim and his life, and I love both songs, this and I’m still here, because it’s kind of like mine, my whole life I had a dad, but he didn’t really take care of me or my siblings and was never really in my life a whole lot. I was born in 2005, but I really connected with this movie when I first discovered it, and later on our mother kind of gave up on taking care of us too, so we lived with our grandparents most of our lives, and our mother visited us on occasions, and our grandparents never wanted us around our father, because he owes us a lot of money, but he spent most of that money on himself, and he always says that he doesn’t want us living with our grandparents, because they kind of both hate each other, and I kind of didn’t really know how to feel, because me and all of my siblings and illegitimate children, because our mother and father were never legally married when that had us, and whenever our mother visited us, she was always scolded and berated by our grandparents because she basically abandoned us and was always meeting all of these other men into our lives, I think she was just trying to replace our dad, but all of those men were bad, and then she ended up having another child with another man, but that man unfortunately ended up dying in a car accident, and to help her, some friends of my grandparents allowed my mother and my little sister to live with her to help her take care of her, and a few years later on, and grandparents told that it would be for the best and the greater good is she grew up in a healthy environment and with other children, so she was going to be living with my uncle, aunt, and cousins, right now the man she used to be with right now is bad and abusive, he got put in jail for harming my mother, she got away from him, and my mother really needs to make better decisions, and the only male figures I had in the first years of my life were my grandpa and my uncle, and my other uncles, and I really am close with my uncle, ever since I was little, and he’s way more successful than my mother, but they still have some conflict with each other, especially after she called the police and took custody of my little sister away from him and his family, and him and my grandparents are still fighting to get custody back. I personally don’t know what I want to do with my life, but I still have lots of things I like to do, but I also have a lot of things in the past that I regret back in middle and high school, and it really hurts me and makes me feel guilty, because I was too caught up in school, my personal life, and falling in with the wrong crowd, always comparing myself to everyone else, I just wanted to be like other guys my age, and be noticed, revered, and accepted. Going through all of these worldly things turned me away from god, and all my other activities, but I’ve decided that I want to and need to turn back, because I need him in my life in order to be successful and especially for a bright future, because I want to be the godly man that he wants me to be, and I need other godly men in my life, just like John sliver to help me achieve that, but knowing that I can’t go back and fix them, and having a hard time forgiving myself for the things that I’ve done and other people that have hurt me makes it a challenge, and right now I’m 18, and in the 2nd semester of my freshman year at community college, and my first year of college is almost over, so if anyone is reading this now, please pray for me, my family, and my life, I want things to go back to normal and be better, thank you and god bless you 🙏🏾💝✝️😇⭐️🌟💫🚀🛸

For a long time i thought this was the actual song in the movie but could never remember the title, It sounds so similar to "I'm Still Here" though
