This webinar is a follow-up session from the one we held in June on ‘Cytogenetic Testing in CLL/SLL’ presented by haematologist Dr Sasanka Handunnetti. If you haven’t watched the first webinar you can find it here: • CLL/ SLL webinar with ...
In this webinar haematologist Associate Professor Mary Ann Anderson will discuss how the results of this testing can impact your treatment options in Australia.
Associate professor Mary Ann Anderson has been a practising clinical haematologist for the past ten years currently working both at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. She is a foundation member of the CAR-T consultant group at Peter Mac having joined the team at the inception of the unit in 2019. Dr Anderson obtained her PhD from the University of Melbourne in 2017 where she undertook extensive clinical and laboratory studies of a novel approach to treating B cell malignancies by harnessing apoptotic cell death with the agent now known as venetoclax. Since completion of her PhD Dr Anderson has continued her studies into mechanisms by which B cell malignancies evade targeted agents to develop therapeutic resistance.
