Yes i defo agree each year they become more and more prominent in the landscape and makes it look a lot closer to how it naturally would.

Surprised you're going with the raised bed model. I remember you did the Ridgedale style no-dig beds over beside the polytunnel next to the entrance a few years ago. What's the thinking behind the wooden beds?

For me 30" no dig beds are more suited to commercial production than homesteading. there designed around the tools for harvesting etc. we have a lot of young kids around the farm and I want as low maintenance as possible I get a lot of grass seed blowing into my beds in the summer. Raised beds seem to be the best fit for what we need right now.

looking forward to seeing the how your cuttings come on. Chickens will flitter your fruit leaves before they will touch grass be careful letting them near the fruit trees too early.
