I remember Trek bicycles from the 1970s, and they were high-quality bikes back then also.

There is an App from Hyena that links to the bike. Then you can use your phone for all those features, instead of having another LCD display on your bike.

OMG!!! Thank you Cissie!!! I was bummed about the bike only getting up to 18 mph and it’s because it’s dialed down 20%. I cranked it all the way up, along with making level 1 and 2 more useful. The power out of the corners is insane now!!!

I've heard in some videos that the battery on FX+2 is removable from the bottom, but you claim that it is not removable. Once the battery dies, would one have to bike around with a dead battery then? Also, I think Trek should produce an e-bike version of their District 4 commuter bike with belt drive.

I have a Trek Madone 4.7 and ride between 24 and 30 miles. I live in NC in the triangle where the only safe place to ride in on the bike trails. this looks like a great bike for my wife to ride to keep up with me. better looking than the "shortie" Lectric

Yeah, it sounds like this model would be perfect for her. I find that the lighter more efficient build and traditional full sized bicycle geometry is more satisfying to pedal than the folding and fat models. Perhaps you can both visit a Trek store and she can take one for a test ride :)

I am fairly certain that torque sensor is configured wrong or broken. I have used one and it works much better than you are finding. ALL fork suspensions are designed for off road control, not comfort. If you dampened them light enough to absorb road irregularities they would dive dangerously stopping and turning. There's a reason you only see these on cheap traditional bikes and off road bikes. You could add a suspension stem, made to absorb stutter bumps, vibration and road irregularities. A sprung saddle is always an option if a suspension post is too tall. Way too many of my customers are upset over the weight of their DTC e-bikes. They are just too hard to handle, much less load and unload. I'll take the lightweight and carry an extra battery. The handlebars are way too long for such a small bike, especially one that is women's specific. Obviously they are just taking them from their off road line. For any significant distance, you really should have bars only 2" wider than your shoulders. Love that they adapt the crank arms.

The e-bike industry has left the big companies in the dust in terms of price/performance/features/components/removable batteries/battery size/display. If they want to compete they need to hit a lower price point.

I don’t like that that rear rack does not connect to ( get mechanical support from ) the seat post. I’ll be looking for a way to make that connection.

The range is limited, but at 40 lbs (!), it can easily be carried on buses (rack) and trains. You've got a "stealth" factor. Tons of service centers. 17-20 mph on a 62 lb. e-bike feels graceful. On a 40 pounder, I'd imagine it's nimble. 😊 Pricey, but very interesting. How easy to change rear tire inner tube??

I’ve been leaning towards the Serial 1 e bikes both the Rush speed and the Mosh City. They are both little bit lighter bikes but the Mosh City has but one gear with its mid drive motor where the Rush Speed utilizes automatic gearing with larger battery. Rush Speed certainly more expensive while the Mosh City with its single gear is more affordable. Price versus performance can the Mosh City deliver without all the gears but still offer similar functionality. Thanks!

One of the things that I have noticed about the ebike market in the US is a lot of these smaller never before heard of brands that only seemed to enter the market with ebikes sure like to add a bunch of weight with unnecessary cheap add-ons. I would much prefer a solid front fork on any bike as suppose to a cheap coil spring fork which has really become common even on ebikes that way 70+ pounds. Another point is the massive tires, which again add nothing more then unneeded weight for most users. I would encourage anyone to look at the major bike brands ebikes, (you no- the folks that have been designing and building bikes for decades) and compare they're offerings. You will find huge differences and for good reason,

Can someone tell me why the price is significantly higher for this kind of e-bike compare to those foldable one? I know Trek is reputable in the industry but so as other foldable e-bike manufacturer. Any idea?

I recently test rode this bike and I'm not that impressed. It seems that for the higher price Trek does not include much more than basic features. I'm going to purchased an Aventon Level.2, which includes more than is shown in this review for about $500.00 less!

Perhaps that's some of it. I suspect that it costs a lot for them to offer two frame styles (high-step and mid-step) then each one of those has multiple sizes (four high-step and three mid-step) and each of those has three colors! So the math is like 4*3+3*3=21 skews! Some of the price also goes to all of the dealers who have buildings and employees... and then there's the long term warranty. I think that Trek is also a great brand, but a big part of that is their service and quality vs. some brands that are all name and less organization and quality.

This is just a womens commuter bike. I have two Trek reg. bikes, and I live them. But, this bike would not do it for me. I am a 6'6" man who needs about 50 miles of room to roam. I am on my second Lectric bike, and for 1k you can't beat the price. Other than the weight, the Lectric has this beat hands down.
