The man has developed a voice like none other. You can tell from his Creed days that he wasn't born with natural vocal talent. He worked for that!

Matthew Medeiros Just hearing his vocal transformation from "My Own Prison" to "A Dying Machine" is what gives me motivation to get better because Mark did it!

Thedawg4life exactly the 2 songs I was comparing in my head when I wrote the comment haha. Dude I 100% am with you there. I was never a good singer and guitar lessons did squat for me. But hearing his music and progress vocally is more motivation than a fan of his could ever need

I don't know. I agree he's progressed as a singer. But his backing vocals on chorus singing on My Own Prison were still solid. He and Scott had good harmonizing, that they seemed to drop on their other records for the most part.

Retro Revelations oh I agree, it was good (in my opinion not as good as now). Like if you watch a live radio acoustic performance of My Own Prison (the one where Brian uses an acoustic bass), marks vocals are good but they sounded over the top. But now that you mention, you're right that they kinds gave up on the harmonizing on Clay and Weathered. So maybe we would have seen singing like the one in this video. Good food for thought, second guessing my original opinion, thanks dude. Cheers

Take You With Me Never mistake what we are We'll stand apart with our own scars Never regret or fight alone We'll stand apart, all our flaws shown I'll take your hand in mine And never let go I'd give my life to find What you already know (you already know) I'll take you with me We'll carry on I don't mind waiting Don't mind at all Go, disengage, liberate Evolve now, unchained and go your own way Never forget where you've been We'll stand apart, we'll awaken I'll take your hand in mine And never let go I'd give my life to find What you already know (you already know) I'll take you with me We'll carry on I don't mind waiting Don't mind at all We've come much too far Our past, a world away Embrace now who we are We stand another day Found strength and now we know Release and let it go Let it go I'll take you with me We'll carry on I don't mind waiting Don't mind at all

This one is the best I think. It's very identical to the original track from the album. Tremonti is the greatest heavy metal band on the face of the planet.

This is a clear example of what a genius this guy is. Such a simple melody shown in acoustic version turn into a bad ass electric song in the record. That is not easy to do at all. Godly gifted. Thanks for keeping on making magic with music Mark.

I often don't like acoustic versions. They feel something like filler most of the time. But here... it's a really good showcase of the development of his voice. The soundscape of his "electrified" performances are so wide and deep, that it's hard to tell how well defined he can actually singing. Especially live it easily gets muddied out by all the other sounds. I really like Tremonti's guitar work, and it's so nice to see/hear how well he can sing nowadays. Also makes me look forward to new Alter Bridge stuff (awaiting more songs like Waters Rising)

Melody and mood flows much better acoustic in my opinion. Got some clipping going on his mic though, must of of been setup to sound good for talking but not for the dynamic levels you'd get with singing. Idk
