Great perspective. Videos like this are the reason I exclusively turn to your channel for aviation news. Fair, honest, unbiased reporting and clear explanations. I too was convinced that Trevor had experienced an explosive decompression. I’m not sure how many psi’s the Taylorcraft’s fuselage is rated for but I do know that at that altitude your blood will boil. Also, gotta give C. G. Taylor credit for designing such a strong airframe as many of its contemporaries would have been blown to pieces (ie. DeHavilland Comet)

It gets worse than that. A plane at this altitude and no pressurized cabin will NOT suck you out. A pilot like this guy should know this. Even in an airliner that's pressurized it doesn't happen like you see in movies, actually a southwestern flight in 2011 had a 5 foot hole open up in the roof and guess what? Nobody got sucked out! There was a tiny hole in a Soyuz spacecraft even and that's 14psi inside to 0 outside and STILL it didn't cause explosive decompression! The pressure differential is nowhere close to do that in a plane like this though. It makes it funnier he said "you see it in movies all the time" lol yeah that must mean it's true 😆

I'm not so sure Bryan, I'm still convinced he was sucked out. Considering all the extra weight he had strapped to him (parachute, fire extinguishers and drinking water), it added to his mass and made it easier for the suction to pull him out of his perfectly safe aircraft. I'd have to imagine he made numerous attempts to restart the engine as well.

the most obvious part is that he had an entire clean up crew ready to come clean up the wreckage, take it away, and chop it up into pieces…there’s no way they would know where to be unless he told them…regardless of whether they can prove he crashed it on purpose or not. it’s illegal to destroy evidence in any case like this, he would never have won a defense, as his lawyers told him. this is just another example of Millennials who grow up privileged thinking they are above the laws of the land just because they are “poplular” or a trend setter
