@@ankitsethia977I think that in the obtuse angled triangle, the possible values in each case, were distinct, there was no way we could have narrowed down the range or make out a commen set of values from each case, while in the next question from the two cases we could form a condition where we could narrow down the range of possible values from both the cases, so we took out those values which satisfied the condition, giving a more exact answer.
@AkshayTantri-u3n
Жыл бұрын
@@ankitsethia977 the simple method is take 2 common from 10 and 24 you get a triplet like 5,12,13....if you multiply 2 you get 10,24,26 therefore the values greater than 26 will be obtuse triangle. and you got a condition like x>=22 @26:37....so values range from 22 to 25(26 is right angled).....if you still have doubts insert values in a,b,c and find squares. example is 21,10,24 here 576>441+100 i.e(541) which is obtuse.... you can identify a pattern here i.e first few values are obtuse, then few values are common those are acute, then again obtuse and we have one right angled triangle. hope it helps.

nice thinking, but the question is the number of acute triangles. also, the angles don't necessarily have to be obtuse for a higher side length, especially in an isosceles triangle (two sides equal), for eg. 1000, 1000, 1 is a valid triangle. It is an inference that if the angles are different, then relatively the length of the opposite sides will also be according to a ratio (from sine rule). I think the method from which sir got 24 as an answer is wrong (no offence to ravi sir, he is amazing as always, and he must have not noticed), but 24 is an answer definitely.

I had a doubt for the last question, because I was confused if we can take 24 or not, unfortunately, some online resources (Unofficial) mention that 4 is the answer, But I have to come to the conclusion that the answer is 3. Namely, 22, 23 and 25. The reason why I have disregarded 24 is the following: In an obtuse triangle, one angle is greater than 90 and the rest 2 are less than 90. We also know that 2 sides with same lenghts will have same degree angles. And we also know that only one angle can be an obtuse angle. Also we know that the angle opposite to the greatest side has the highest degree angle. Therefore in case, wherein 2 sides are 24, their opposite angles will be equal, that means that each of those angles individually cannot be obtuse, therefore we can only have a third angle which will be obtuse, now the side opposite this third angle is 10. but as this is an obtuse angle, the side should be greatest in lenght, which this equation does not satisfy, therefore, there are only 3 solutions.
