I was at lollapalooza. The energy was indescribable. I was squished like a sardine against wild army’s having theme of their lives and it was the best thing ever. I’ll never forget seeing hobi live. He is the best performer. You have been watching his JITB music videos and haven’t seen that Jhope is actually a dancer. He is the dance leader of BTS. If he gone do one thing, it’s dance in a concert. He truly is talented. That’s why he dances in the subway druring j. Cole’s verse, he said he was getting back to his roots.

The 'Jay' thing is actually a sort of inside joke among ARMY and we were surprised that he actually addressed it xD There's this thing about J-Hope becoming hotter, deliberately more flirty and stuff when he comes to America. People joke that when he's in America, he's no longer J-Hope, but an alter ego, 'Jay'. So him saying that we could call him Jay, was both a fun wink at the audience and also a warning that the show was going to continue to be intense xD

Loui: "Yo, the crowd is on point!" ME:"YES, WE WERE!" It was one of the best concert experiences of my 56 years, and I've been to a LOT of concerts (over 100). It's important to realize, too, that this album had only been out for a couple of weeks when this concert was held...and ARMY 100% came through for hobi by knowing SO many of the lyrics. It was truly an amazing experience. Lollalooza is a four-day music festival with numerous stages, all located in downtown Chicago. It was originally a traveling festival with mostly alternative/independent artists. These days it's a mix of well-known and lesesr known acts. It's still considred to be one of the best music festivals in the world. Fun fact: my brother attended the first one back in the 80's. This was my first one. This year, it's Aug 3-6, but unless another BTS member is there, I won't be going this time...lol

I am 54 and went with my twelve year old daughter! You are right, I've been to many, many concerts starting in the early 1980's and no one, I mean, no one does it better than BTS (and Jhope)!! A lot of it is the audience energy, too...ARMYS are so loud and enthusiastic. A couple of weeks ago, I saw Journey, and they were great, but the audience was pretty lame..."a bunch of old people" I like to say lol

Lolla is held in different cities across the US. This one in Chicago 2022 is where JHope made history as the 1st S. Korean artist to ever headline @ any Lolla venue (and where he and JCole met in person for the first time). Billboard reported that around 100k+ people attended his show... it was also streamed live on BTS's platform, Weverse, adding another 14.9M (yes, "million") viewers worldwide tuning in. This man (and his BTS bros) means a lot to millions across the globe. They sell out stadiums on the regular within a few hours, typically during fan presales, before tix go to general sales. They are legendary, as is their humility, and gratitude toward ARMY. Your reactions are lit, btw - love your fun vibe and energy! Perfect compliment to a JHope's vibe😊💜

I know as a non-bts fan it is very surprising to see them to do so much in one performance and concert but that's just the standard they've set. I do want to suggest something. Instead of checking out the members individually first I would recommend going chronologically with their album drops. Because so much of their solo music was dropped in between BTS albums and not before they joined BTS. Their growth as solo artists is directly linked to their artistic journey in BTS and as incredible they are as solo artists the beauty of BTS as a seven member group is unmatched. So if possible go through it in order of the releases it will take a long time but the journey is worth it.
@dici1396
Жыл бұрын
I really agree with this. I appreciate the desire to give them individual attention first but their growth is sooo intertwined with BTS. They has solo songs within BTS albums that led to their solo projects and refer back to each other. BTS albums are all written by the members and since they love creating albums that tells an overall story and is so autobiographical, it’s kinda tricky. Especially with the vocal line that has more singles than full albums right now, it’s a bit difficult to separate their work like that. I do think it’s better to go chronologically and go through the bts albums and individual members mixtape/albums as they come. That introduction video by Taylor would give a good overview since it’s over 10 years worth of music with seven prolific people. But of course, if he want to go by member I know ARMY will give him plenty of recommendations lol (there is soooo much music).

Maybe start with RM(Real name Kim Namjoon, last name goes first in most Asian cultures), he’s the leader of BTS. You keept on repeating what a good dancer he is, he's actually arguably the best dancer in kpop, which says a lot because all of the kpop idols are amazing dancers, but it also ki da makes sense becase he's been dancing for 20 years so yeah. I guess it's also worth the mention that he doesn't actually do hard dances for his own songs because he likes to change things up during the performance based on how he thinks something should look at that moment, so yeah there's a lot of simple choreo he often times won't do because he's a true performer and will do things based on that performance alone

Thank you for reacting to Hobi. Oh you’re in for a surprise with all of the members both Rap line and the vocal line. It’s ok to have a favorite as long as you respect the rest. Hobi is an amazing introduction to the group and you’ll see down your journey how amazingly talented each member is and how amazing they are as a whole team. Thanks again for this wholesome reaction!!

Your reaction was both entertaining and hilarious, I’m so glad you enjoy Jhope as much as the rest of us. Jhope’s swag and one trillion he gets black culture and respects it so much. The way he allowed JCole to have more bars than him shows the respect he had for him. Love you Jhope aka Hobi

That wasn’t Hobi that burst into the stage in Chicago that day. That day we met JAY, and as an ARMY that was in that crowd, it was love at first sight. Honestly, it was insanely better than we ever expected. Breath taking. Mind blowing.

I'm pretty sure you are almost done with jhope's songs. The other songs that come into mind that you haven't done is Ego, Trivia Just Dance, MAMA, Chicken Noodle Soup, Boy Meets Evil, and Rush Hour ( Jhope is featured on Rush Hour ) If I missed any I'm sorry. ARMY PLEASE HELP ME OUT IF I MISSED ANY. All the songs I listed are great songs too. Looking forward to future reactions.I believe the next member you should dive into is Namjoon. As I mentioned in another comment Indigo is a masterpiece of an album. Namjoon is a great lyricist and is a poet at heart. My favorite collab of Namjoon is Change with Wale. Great song. I PURPLE YOU💜💜💜

I was one of the lucky ones who got to see this concert live. It was amazing! Hangsang was one of the top 5 songs I've ever seen performed live. He killed it. They sold out the day, which was 100K tickets. However, there were other bands performing on different stages at the same time. Green Day was headlining on the other side of the park, so I'd say there were probably like 50-70K people for Hobi.

they're chanting the members names you will prob hear that same chant in other bts live performances. a very popular army channel named kookiestaetas has that chant as an intro edit: outro ego is part of a trilogy by rapline in the map of soul 7 album. there's intro persona by namjoon, interlude shadow by yoongi and outro ego by hobi.

#TribeLoui ... we know how you feel about him going, it was his choice to leave earlier, so he can come back sooner & the rest of the boys will leave soon to, so they can all reunite as a full band come 2025. So save up coz when they get back their concerts are going to be LIT!!! Don't worry though you have 10yrs of all sorts of content to browse through, while they are away. Also there's some "Behind The Scenes" footage for both Lollapalooza (on Disney) and "On The Streets" on youtube. Check it out you'll enjoy that too I'm sure!!
