I've got new respect for Mr Clark, Jr. after watching this. Beautiful tribute. Understated.

It just shows how great JB was… when even super talented guitarists cannot cover your song, regardless how hard they try and how much soil they try to put into it… Jeff Beck had this tremolo control and awesome bends nobody can equal.
@J.C...

This is probably the only song I like with these sorts of bends in them and it's because Jeff always did it so gracefully and made it sound so incredible 👌

Go watch the live version at crossroads with clapton. Doyall Bramhall 2nd solos after clapton. You can't hear the difference with Jeff after he took over. Doyall basically plays the single version in notes

This tribute, though thoughtful, exposed the truth that like Hendrix there is no player that could really come close. Clark Jr. does shine here though.

Your right, Beck had a very special touch. On the live at Ronnie Scotts version of this song, you could swear, you here a woman singing in the guitar. Unique, and one of the best that ever was.

How could you not name Doyle Bramhall II in the title of this video?! Everything he does is brilliant. Somehow he doesn’t get recognized as much as he should.

Come on Joeee... we didn't need Jeff to go to see how good he was! And you can't just diss EC, GCJ and DB2 like that. Just appreciate it for it what it was which was a heartfelt tribute that of course will never be anywhere near the original!

@@raa0425 gawd blimey! 😍 some people saying he played wiv no pick or wiv his fingers!? just take it for what it was...unbelievable line-up-John Mac,E.C.,G.C.J. etc....however they played they did a heartfelt tribute to the late great JEFF BECK in their own style! to me JOHN MAC. and JEFF BECK WERE and ARE THE GUVNORS cos they were playing in their own UNIQUE style in the 1950's-they WERE and STILL are innovators...R.I.P. JEFF! sadly gone but NEVER EVER FORGOTTEN!!

I agree. A nice tribute, but it turned into a blues jam, which is cool, but Jeff connected amazing phrases
