@@TheHypotheticalSkater thanks for the encouragement. I’m finding learning slappys very difficult. I never thought that skating curbs could scare you so much and fuck you up. myself anyways. On the bs 50-50s I can’t seem to get my back trucks to follow the front ones and on the top of the curb. I probably need to commit to more speed, my front trucks hit the curb and everything stops and I have to keep from getting bucked. I’m loving it though and seem to be more obsessed at this age than I ever was when I was younger. You’ve got great curb skills! 🙌🏼

@@4152008085 I started curbs about 2 and a bit years ago, I’d never skated them and hadn’t skated for 15+ years. I learnt slappy 5050s wrong to start with but I was happy none the less, I learnt them by lifting the front truck on and then pushing the back in (not supposed to lift the nose into Slappy!! I didn’t know). You may need to just turn your shoulder so they are inline with the curb for your bs 5050. I did do a tutorial a couple of years just after I learnt them to try and help in some way, I’ll try find it! Stay low and loose and straighten up and turn shoulders as you bash the curb. 💪kzitem.info/news/bejne/qYht3IKihmKEimksi=qzOLWAm6bNmZ7yiO

It’s a scary one, that’s for sure! This is how I learned it. You’ve just got the front board now so you know how it feels sliding backwards. The most important part for me was to to get the Nollie bs revert on lock. It’s my favourite trick and one I have put a lot of time into so I felt I was credible enough to offer a ‘trick tip’ video! Hope it gave you a few pointers, you’ve got it💪

When I read the title of this I thought of Jef Hartsel in Rubbish Heap. Which was exactly as you displayed. Though another part of me though, what if dude is doing slappy backside tailslides. Like actual slappy backside tail slides. It's a hard one. It would be going up to the curb to do a backside slappy 5-0. But skip the 5-0 and straight to tail. Very do-able. Again I know what your saying by slappy backside tail slide and so would most skateboarders. Though when you get technical, this trick is kind of a sh*t show to describe. Like off the nose blindside half cab, bs tailslide...That's way too much. Nice tutorial though, got all the steps in there. And you got it smooth with good speed!

Thanks man! Yeah I know it’s not officially Slappy back tail, it’s a Nollie 90 degree revert to tail😀😀 you definitely slap into it though so I dunno😅 a Slappy Noseslide should therefore be called a 90 degree revert to nose, it’s so interesting how skateboarding terminology doesn’t make sense sometimes

@TheHypotheticalSkater

Hey! You missed one key bit. So the curb needs to be rub bricked then sprayed with clear laquer varnish, leave to dry for half hour then spray again, dry again then one more coat. Now you can wax. Unfortunately if you wax before spray it means you have to scrape the wax off (almost impossible job) then spray laquer it then wax. I have made the same mistake on my other curb, I found it impossible to get the wax off ( I think you may need to melt it off!! Something I haven’t bothered to do😀
