You can sprinkle the tawa with water before making each chilla/dosa. The way they do on streets! Your batter consistency was actually perfect. But the tawa might be too hot and thus the batter starts setting/cooking before you spread it. Sometimes that makes it crumbly/breaks it. Sprinkling water will temporarily decrease the tawa temperature and the batter will spread easily.

Being a south Indian here’s a small tip to get nice dosas….rub dosa pan with half onion before putting the batter and pour the batter on medium flame…and increase the flame after soreading the batter then pit oil on the peripheries…..dont spread too much oil before putting batter on pan…and last make sure the pan is heated well on low flame

I recently got bariatric surgery done and have stopped eating any form of wheat or rice so I eat moong dal dosas too, easy trick is to keep batter in very watery consistency and put Chan a dal and methi when you soak them. It helps for it to be crispy and dosa like. Hope this helps! Take care!♥️💕

Hi dipi .. So it's just that when you pour the batter on the tawa so go in circular motions while you spread it out . This makes them all connected with each other . And also do not forget to prep the tawa before starting by splashing some water on the tawa cleaning it off and then spreading the oil . The circular motions will make the dosa round and crispy . You should often cook Green Moong Cheelas...it is high in Protein n fibre also...Good for you💚You can also add some Rice with Moong so it would blend easily n make it crispy too ..Take Care

The batter is good. Use a cast iron pan, that will give you perfect dosa. Also, you can add a little rava to help it bind if you are using non stick pan. These actually come proper crispy dosa

I apply the batter always on cold tawa and then put it on gas. And keep two tawas on. Apply oil before spreading the batter.

Kitchen tips If you are storing the dosa batter in fridge than don’t add salt. Instead add the same in small amount of batter which you are going to use. Sprouts must be consumed in max 3 days bcoz it will become bitter in taste. Use readymade grated coconut so that you don’t have to stand for long time in kitchen and make the same into pieces. For chutney, next time try using chana( daaliya) instead of roasted peanuts 😊 I would like to ask Riza to show the making process of her project. It’s very useful indeed

Hi..Moong dal is not a flour so it doesn't have binding ability making the Batter very soft.If you put tomato in it, it will further make the Batter extra soft.Also, moong dal Batter should be made with lesser water added to it...thats the reason they are not coming out properly...instead of tomatoes, add other dry veggies like graded carrot, cabbage etc..for flavour add aamchoor instead of tomato if you want with a pinch of hing.....happy cooking.This is my favourite staple..

I make green moong sprouts dosa often and comes out very nicely. Tip from my side - don’t grind a fine paste rather little coarse and also consistency to be little thick and not flowy. Also put it on heavy non stick pan. Hope this helps

Hello Dipika dii sprouts dosa or chilla ke liye imp tips deti hu bcoz mai isse hamesha banati hu and yeh bohot yummy banata hai… 1) temp.ek hi rakhe 2) according to your batter quantity aap usme 1 or 2 whole eggs milaye isse taste bhi badhata hai aur chilla tutata bhi nahi hai 3) jab aap batter banate ho to usse ekdam fine nahi pisana hai halka dardara rakho to sticky bhi nhi lagega and jaldi banenge. 4) batter ko bohot patala aur bohot gadha nahi banana. I really hope that ke aap isse try jarur karenge. And congratulations and love you all guys❤❤❤

Hiii Keep the batter little thick in consistancy and you can add 2-3 tbsp besan/sooji/rice atta. This will hold your batter together and make good dosa out of it. Do try it and let us all know how it turned out

Whenever ur making sprouts dosa u hv to mix rice flour & gram flour. Usually the ratio should be 2:1 i.e if u have taken 2 cup sprouts then in that batter u have to add 1 cup rice flour & 2 tbsp gram flour, leave it for about 15-20 mins and then ur dosa comes out crispy. Try it.

You have to add little rice with moong dal and secondly the batter should be little thick then it will get up from the pan...if its only moong dal it won't get up from the pan it sticks ..add equal proportion of rice and moong dal and grind

Suggestion for you Dipika - The batter should be a little thick and coarse for the Dosa to come out evenly. In south India, we make this often and it's called 'Adai' and it'll work if you make the paste thicker. Loads of love you 💗

Add little bit curd in your batter to get that sour dosa taste....and its very common that 1st 2-3 dosa doesn't turn out properly because of the dryness of tawa....so, it's not at all your fault.😊

For moong or sprouts dosa batter you need to add less water when compared to normal dosa batter and batter should be semi thick as moong or sprouts batter is already light. If you want it to be more crispy then you can add 1-2 tbsp of soaked rice.

U can use oats which will not stick the pan or u can use rava to make it thicker if it's too watery or u can put that batter aside for 3 to 4 hours before making dosas

Hi, being a south indian I can give you a tip this is because you added 2 cups of water that is why it was not coming well the batter should be very thick you must have add 1/4 cup or half cup of water while grinding the batter and the temperature should be very hot of the tawa and then sprinkle some water rub half cut onion on that tawa and then pour the batter and make it like dosa. This dish is also called pesarratu it's an Andhra Pradesh delicacy. Hope this tip will be help you.

Hi Dipika... Few suggestions use equal amount of dosa rice along with moong n soak them overnight.. next day when u grind it use one inch ginger coriander leaves one green chilli n half spoon of jeera make barter and pour n make dosas you'll get perfect ones. Hope this helps .

Nice try..If you want to make sprouts dosa then u have to add rice so that it doesn't break... measurements as for 2 cups sprouts 1 cup of rice is must... I think it will help u for the next time but keep it up Madam 👏👏
