The tightening was too aggressive to begin with. The rate hikes have broken an already fragile economy that would have worked out the inflation in the free market. The Fed chose to spark inflation buy napalming the public with stimulus right when the global supply chain was broken and production of good and service basically did not exist during Covid. It was gasoline on the perfect firestorm. Then, instead of letting the inflation work itself out… we hiked rates thousands of times higher than they were in the most massive pounding the Fed has ever given an economy. They chose to break the inflation they created over the backs of the middle class. Now they’re providing a little relief and everyone is acting like it’s going to bring back Covid level inflation and end the world..... Anyone feeling the impact of these economic shifts should consider Crypto long-term trading strategies to protect their assets. My advice to anyone feeling the heat in this inflation, just trade long term more than ever, I have made over 720k from day trading with Seren Wintersun in few weeks, this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes bearish..

Does your company offer a 401k? If so, contribute to that, especially if the company offers a match. And if a 401k is an option, then there might even be a Roth version so you can continue to grow your contributions tax free. If you have very few health expenses, then getting a high deductible health plan will qualify you for an HSA. That will allow you to exclude your contributions from your taxable income like a traditional IRA, and it will grow tax-free like a Roth IRA.

Hi, could you suggest how someone should invest $400-$500 monthly into ETFs (non - IRA account)diversifying the portfolio considering the time horizon is 10 years. The goal is to have growth and fixed income.

is it ok to have schd on taxable accounts? the dividends will be taxed?
@LarkOfTheWoods

There will be significant taxable events. An index fund with smaller distributions and less turnover would be preferable in a taxable account.

Thank you for all the education. I am curious about one thing regarding your 3 ETF portfolio. I've been investing in VOO, SCHD and QQQ, so it was great when I discovered your lessons to have that reassurance. With that said, can you explain why you prefer QQQM over QQQ? Thanks again.
@Atrus999

They both have the exact same holdings but QQQM is cheaper. That's the only difference.

Hi Prof G. Here on other side of Atlantic in Uk. Great channel you have. Would you continue to drip feed your ETF’s holding off putting a large sum in at the moment or would you just put in the large sum? We can’t invest Schd in UK but can in the S&P 500 dividend aristocrats ETF which is the closest thing.

Because the Market EXPECTED a 25 Basis Point cut and Papa Powell hit it with a 50 Basis Point. Wasn’t baked in. The markets typically will go down for a few trading days after a cut as it Stop Loss Hunts.

It's called a "bad" economy/recession with rising unemployment/underemployment, record levels of personal & sovereign debt, & an already overcharged/overpriced stock market...buying high & hoping for higher is not what I'd consider value-investing. Good time to rebalance the portfolio into tangible assets...JMO.

@michaelliati1515 mkt rallied big into the announcement so it was baked in. Few catalysts until earnings season and election get sorted, so people were wisely taking profits off the pop. Expect increased volatility to the downside the next 4-6wks before a year-end rally
