The 8.4% Mettle is excellent. Had one a couple weeks ago canned at the end of March. Have one left. LOVE the style. Check out Magnify Brewing (NJ) if you get a chance...I got a few gifted in a box of Trillium beers. The Magnify stuff was just crazy good.

are all the trillium IPA's the exact same? Seeing all of your reviews of them they seem like it.

Want a trillium beer? Pour an IPA and then fill the rest of the glass with orange juice. Voila!

How bitter is it? I stay away from IPAs because I don't like bitter beer.

Their beers, and many similar NE style IPAs, focus more on late hop additions, so there is a lot less bitterness than most of the other popular IPAs in recent years (eg. Stone, Lagunitas, Ballast Point). So you still get all the great hop flavor without the huge bitterness and astringency that some of the west-coast style IPAs give you.
