Join me on this trip from Sandefjord/Torp (Norway) to Bologna (Italy) via Copenhagen (Denmark) with Widerøe and SAS in Economy/SAS Go. The first flight was originally due to be operated by a Q400, so when I saw a Q300 being towed to its stand, I thought it couldn't possibly be the aircraft for the Copenhagen flight. Well, it turns out that was the case, and since I've never flown the -300 series before, it certainly was a nice surprise! According to the captain, the reason for this last minute equipment change was that there was a technical problem with the original aircraft. We ended up departing a few minutes late because of this, though it wasn't a big deal at all. Widerøe's inflight service is quite basic; you can get free coffee/tea and a small chocolate, with the opportunity to purchase small snacks/cold drinks from a menu - decent for a 1h flight. The Q300 is a generally comfortable aircraft in my opinion (not to mention it's a fun aircraft to fly), and I would gladly take it on a longer flight as well. At CPH I was eligible for free lounge access thanks to my Eurobonus Silver card, hence I could spend 1h there before the next flight. The food options were pretty much the regular ones, although being three days before Christmas they did have some Christmas food (meatballs, sauerkraut and porridge with cherry sauce), which was nice. The second flight was operated by the Spanish regional carrier Air Nostrum with a CRJ-1000 (painted in a hybrid SAS livery), also a new aircraft to my flight log. In the cabin there was one Danish and one Spanish crew member, while the cockpit crew were both Spanish. There was a delay due to the inbound aircraft being late, no reason was given for this though, and we eventually took off an hour after the scheduled departure time. Just like on Widerøe the inflight service on SAS is basic, at least in SAS Go. Coffee & tea and a glass of water are served free of charge, other beverages as well as meals & snacks can be purchased from the menu. During the second half of the flight there were some pretty nice views of the Alps, and apart some turbulence during the approach, it was a pleasant afternoon flight. We made up some time, but still ended up landing 35 minutes behind scheduled. Hope you enjoy the video; don't forget to hit the "Like" button and to comment & subscribe.
