Love the video. The most important pre-requisite to being good in the triple threat is the ability to shoot the ball, else you eliminate the most important threat. Passing the ball is a threat only if you find a pass that scores (which is hard when they sag off you) Driving can be a threat, but it's made easier when they are close to you and if you can't shoot, they can eliminate the drive fairly easily. Shooting puts the THREAT in triple threat. Master shooting and add these to your bag!

Coach, thanks for this amazing video!! I love your every video. But I have a question. Isn't rocker step a travel? Most players in this video clearly take their pivot foot off before they dribble. What I heard was we can't take off our pivot foot except shooting or passing. I am a bit confused. Could you give me an answer?
@CoachFrikki
2 жыл бұрын
It's a good question. Every strongside rip is technically a travel. High rip, low rip, rocker step, shot fake + righty drive. The pivot always leaves the floor a split second too early. But it shouldn't be called in my opinion, cuz then you'd have travel call every possession.
@JustinPagden
2 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid they'll call a travel in the euro leagues every time (because it is). It's a shame, because removing those moves makes the whole Triple Threat less effective. The stab dribble is a good option to avoid traveling. Check it out: kzitem.info/news/bejne/yJ-QyYtpm4KEZaw
@CoachFrikki
2 жыл бұрын
@@JustinPagden I played w/ Euro refs my whole life. They call it every once in a while. Hate that shit haha. Stab dribble is good Plan B when you feel like you've already almost travelled. If you take your steps too late after catching the ball, then stabbing it down is good to be safe. Not a fan of teaching the stab dribble as an a primary option. It's slow.

Awesome video! I love all the videos. However in this video, on the shot fake, low rip and High rip, there is TRAVELLING every single time. The players switch pivot foot when they do the open step. They don´t call it, but it is always travelling.

There seems to be two schools of thought on the tripple threat. I see some advantages with this version, but it looks like you have to cross in front of your hips to ready your shot as well as pass on the right side. The method in this video looks like it sets you up well for a left handed drive which is good. I learned the old school way, right hand, right side. When did it change?

I want to use this in games a lot, its been working a lot recently. The idea is 1 jab to see how they react + 2 more with fske jabs, hesi what ever and after that you drive/ pass it and shoot it if i get a lot of space. ( of course if they bite before the 3rd "move " i ll just shoot it cause its not hogging yet which make it a good shot)
