Though I was born in Galveston Texas in 1957 , I spent two of the first years of my Life from 1958-1959 in Tripoli Libya when my father was stationed in the air force. here is a bit of improvisation North African inspired Lap Steel improvisation using the byzantine scale in C major.
I'm using an Asher Electro Hawaiian lap steel guitar major with Lindy Fralin Big Single pickups, a latch lake slide, heavy gauge GHS Nickel rocker strings (16-58)., a Tanabe Dumkudo overdrive, a Custom Tones Ethos clean preamp, A Neunaber Echelon Echo (v3), a Looperlative LP-2 Looper, and a Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge rechargeable amplifier. I'm using a Morningstar MC-6 midi controller to access extra features on the LP-2, and a dunlop mini x pedal to control echo and reverb depth. I'm using Mission 529 power converters and rechargeable lithium cells to power all effects. captured on an Iphone 12.
