it seems to be very simple just add the reagents in the correct stoichiometric amounts and filter the precipitate and let it dry but it may need some experimentation to get it right

We made this in my apprenticeship as a chemical lab assistant... i washed my labcoat after that and there must have been a little bit of that somewhere in it. It dyed my labcoat pink.

Commonly they are used as catalysts, especially where metal ions are needed in chemistry where they might not normally be as soluble or catalytic
