I realize this is not going to be received well but it needs to be said....Jojo is just like Adam in terms of manipulation by an adult(s) BUT she a) doesn't recognize it because b) she's surrounded by it (and unfortunately did not have the quality parents that you have. Likely because they make money off her, but I don't know). I'm not saying what she said is ok, absolutely not. Not at all. But as much as everyone praises Adam for his maturity, you have to recognize that it is unusually mature and expecting Jojo to be as mature is a bit unfair. Again, not saying what she said is ok.

Trisha is showing a lot of growth honestly, not "calling out" Todrick by name, not attacking Tana for having JoJo on, like Trisha has always been a very reactive person and it looks like she took her time to evaluate her emotions and her situation before filming this episode, I think she should get a little credit for that Edit: I'm obviously not condoning or forgiving her past actions and the awful things she's done, I'm only pointing out that there's a difference between her reaction from then and this reaction now, and it is very difficult for some people to change behaviour that stems from a trauma response (feeling attacked and then retaliating)

my theory on why jojo is being babied so much is because in a sense a lot of people have seen her grow up. especially adults who’ve seen her since dance moms and around that age. so it is a bit of that parasocial dynamic. i think for gen z around jojo’s age a lot of people thought she was weird and childish then realized hating on her so intensely was cringe. but now that we see her behaviour we’re quicker to call it out because we know better. older ppl will look at 20 yr olds often and dismiss certain actions based on youth. but it’s a behavioral pattern from jojo at this point rather insidious

You know what this situation with Jojo Siwa remind me of? Jennette McCurdy's book "Thank God my Mom Died". Jojo is showing how it would go a very dark path if McCurdy's mother didn't pass away and let her actually process what had happened to her. And honestly I do hope that Jojo does actually sees the damage she's done and even if no one forgives her, actually reflect on it. I doubt it'll actually happen. The fact that she hasn't reflect it now has me thinking that she may be more of a lost cause then we hoped, but I do hope that later in her life she actually sees the damage and becomes remorseful. Even if she's in her 40s or 50s. Because calling all the victims (I am including Trisha as a Victim here because she was) liers is the example why a lot of victims of grooming, CSA, SA, and explotiation don't come out. They're scared of being called Liers because the truth gets twisted due to a power imblance. And I do feel sorry for Jojo for being exploited, even if she doesn't know it yet... doesn't mean I will forgive her for actually shoving real victims to the wayside and point a finger saying "You should be ashamed for shaming this adult woman who should know better!" As someone who was afraid for her life at one point because my Abusive EX spun a lie on his social media that he was a victim and I was the one who would lie, and had people saying they would beat my face in if they knew my address... I don't blame you and Trisha for not "babying her" as you said in another video because she is purpetuating the same issues that have plauged victims for years. I do hope that this is a wake up call which would actually have all the victims of Colleen's verbal, emotional and psychological abuse have some form of closure in some way. You are all brave for even speaking your truths, and I hope that move would put you in a better mental state.

It's so funny how much he's hated specifically by the rupauls drag race community because he's done a lot of negative shit regarding it. Like being a god awful choreographer that's cruel to the queen's, not paying queen's for their work, and, most egregiously, almost completely ruining season 15 thanks to a shit show he's a part of called "the real friends of WeHo"🤮 They cut down the drag race episodes by 30 minutes which made everything feel rushed with no time to get to know the queen's. I almost fully stopped watching this show I love so much because it felt so disrespectful to the cast who've spent so much time, money, and effort to be on the show for them to barely get any screen time. However, the worst thing for me is that they cut out a segment where the queen's spoke to the tiktok group called "the old gays" so all that happened in the episode was that they came in in Speedos, told everyone the task, then left. Then we only saw a 4 minute clip of their discussion on untucked. It's so incredibly disrespectful as we're so goddamn lucky that these men are still alive after everything they've lived through and that they're willing to share their stories of their past with us. Thankfully the show listened to the fans and later released the extended version of the episodes but it's a bit too late and idk if I want to rewatch the season again. I agree that she shouldn't have spoken on the topic, but I also understand that from your perspective, Adam, you realized what happened back 3 years ago, and thanks to a big part to your parents looking out for you. Jojo is in that whole manipulation and grming process her whole life and it doesn't look like her parents are particullarly protective of her. So I think that, even though she is your age, it might just not be so clear to her, as someone who is influenced from everywhere around her for basically her entire life without having as much as a toe outside of that world. Again, you are right, that she is of age and has to stand for her own actions (and words are actions too), but I just mean.. 20 is still really young. You are both still very young and it is not trivial to understand that something is off, if it (possibly) is all you know and you accepted it as normal. But you also said that it is of course not excusable to just say people (victims) are lying and I wholeheartedly agree.

When you are 21, you are still very immature and have a lot to learn about life. And are still very much healing from childhood trauma. Jojo has been exploited for views and money since she was a child, still early in her development. You can literally watch her being aggressively berated for entertainment. And when it comes to that kind of long term trauma, it takes a while to heal from it and unlearn. I am disappointed in Jojos actions, but I above all hope that she learns better for her.

People baby JoJo because she still acts like a child. She may be a young adult, but she is no way mature. It doesn't help that the way she dresses and styles her hair makes her look younger than she actually is. I will also say that because so many people grew up with her, it's harder for them to accept that their idol would be advocating for bad people. So, a lot of her fans are in denial that she's potentially a bad person. She's had her life handed to her on a silver platter, it's no wonder she's an out of touch celebrity. Because if she acknowledges what one of them is, she'll have to acknowledge all of them, face the lie that has been her life, and sacrifice a TON of social capital. Nothing but feeling deeply betrayed by any of these people will ever get her to willingly turn against them. I would love for her to surprise me but I really don't think she will.

With regards to Dance Moms, Jojo tried to publicly discredit Chloe and Christi Lukasiak’s negative experience. Christi said something about how Abby’s assistant, Gina, was complicit in the kids’ mistreatment, and Jojo made a TikTok being like “this isn’t true, my experience with Gina was great, etc.” And if you watched Dance Moms and interviews regarding it, you’d know that Abby’s verbal abuse against Chloe was genuine and mostly unscripted, and it got so bad that the show editors had to dub over Abby to hide that she mocked Chloe for her lazy eye. Chloe, Nia, Paige, and Brooke were definitely treated the worst by Abby (not that it’s a competition, she was horrible to everyone,) but it was really inappropriate for Jojo to try and discredit what Christi was saying, because while Jojo may not consider herself a victim of Abby Lee Miller, Chloe absolutely was. And not that my opinion matters, but I 100% agree that Gina was complicit. So TLDR, Jojo is no stranger to discrediting victims.

I watched Dance Mums out of interest and found myself in disbelief. I work in tv- i know there's no such thing as reality television- but i couldn't believe just how much these kids were psychologically abused by producers! The mothers have a lot to answer for too - child exploitation and abuse - see Shirley Temple!! And did the dads ever say anything or were they just happy with the money coming in? The NDAs are ending now and more of the girls are banding together to talk about their experiences and it's not good. What's the starute of limitations against the Producers abuses? Jojo is the only one who still speaks to Abbie Lee --- says a lot.

I personally feel like Colleen is sending her “friends” out to test the water if it’s safe to come back out of the dark. I feel like Johnny was paid to try and remove JDE from the conversation (and failed). Sent Kory to post that pic on insta (he has nothing to lose). And now JoJo because she also has nothing to lose and could also change the narrative. And now that Shane is in the mix, I expect he attempts another come back with a docuseries.

I really doubt that Johnny was working for Colleen, I genuinely think he’s just a sociopath out for revenge. Because while Johnny didn’t say nearly as much about Colleen as other people, he still talked shit about her and painted her in a bad light. And Colleen’s So egocentric that I doubt she’d endorse ANYONE dissing her

It’s sad that a person can commit the same bad behaviors they are accusing others of and get away with it because the attention is on someone else. Hypocrisy is the worst trait of these narcissistic influencers. I don’t trust any person who stans or obsesses over individuals they don’t know because every human has flaws. Everyone will forget all the illegal things she’s done because she’s a victim of something. Ppl like them are why Colleen and James Charles still have support because of the turning a blind eye, ignoring red flags, and benefit of the doubt. Everyone should keep the same energy

I don't get why people are praising Trisha for the "bare minimum". She only cut ties with toxic people when she is personally involved, Shane, Jeffrey and now Colleen. She is clearly milking this whole situation. She is not doing because it's right but because it's bringing her views. The whole frenemies stuff wasn't that long ago...but people don't see it .🤷🤷

Jojo is the new Kodi. In 2020, Kodi ran around the internet trying to put you on blast for making everything up. In 2023, Kodi comes forward and explains that Colleen put her up to everything and like an idiot she followed through. In 2023, Colleen is finally put on blast for the whole world to see and your story is proven. In 2023, Jojo comes out with a bad take and ignores it. So with the current pattern, will it be 2026 by the time Jojo realizes she was in the wrong?

That JoJo isn't noticing the patterns is concerning because Jess and JoJo have the girl group XOMG Pop. Don't know what the deal is with that group but from the original 7 there are only 3 left after 2 years with no statement from either side after any of them left. The first 2 it seems were fired and the last 2 (who left at the same time) it seems to have been their decision to leave. Currently they are hiring new people to replace them (not sure how big they want the group to be, indicators were that they were looking to hire 2 new people, their posts indicate that they have hired 1).

I still don't agree with Trisha saying "Oh, Tana couldn't have known about Jojo saying what she did on Howie Mandel's podcast, she can't see everything." If you are going to platform someone, you need to know what they are saying and doing publicly. Point blank period. Keep your eye on them. Jojo's known for saying controversial things and pissing people off. Do your due diligence and know what your guests are doing publicly. I said this before, it's understandable that the episode with Jojo had to be released. Tana and her team should've put out a statement beforehand. If you're not going to do these things, you're not responsible enough to have your own podcast or platform.

RE: dance moms; I've seen the kind of parents that live through the success of their children, and lemme tell ya, they're all alike. I used to go to my brother's high school baseball games, and my dad volunteered to help his team. Parents would lose their SHIT if their kid messed up, but go absolutely berserk if the umpire called them out. My dad had to deal with these people where they would be asked to leave or have the cops called on them.

I dont think Jojo is part of a cult, but the way she continues to associate and defend these people reminds me of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher defending Danny Masterson, and there were photos of the couple at scientology events (which Masterson is part of)... I only worry Jojo is part of some kind of smaller organisation or ring and she's being used to help these problematic people all having history of being problematic with children... It's an open secret her family uses her and exploits and Jojo has always had a tendency to befriend/maintain relationships people who are horrible for her (like Abby Lee Miller)

I feel like it’s not fair to loop everyone’s mental age based on their actual age.. trauma is different for everyone.. someone might be traumatized and grow up just fine, and someone else might grow up with the same amount of trauma and grow up mentally stunted.. when it comes to you and JoJo, Adam, I truly feel like you are WAY more mature than she is. She quite literally acts like she is still 14 years old. I’m not saying she should be excused, but I’m saying it might take some time for her to truly realize what she’s done. She’s not going to realize overnight just because everyone is telling her that what she is saying is bad. I feel like that’s where her immaturity is quite obvious because she is choosing to stamp her foot and stick to her guns, but I also feel like once she matures more and reflects on everything, she will eventually come out and be remorseful. None of us truly know what is going on, or what has been going on, behind closed doors. I wouldn’t look at people seeing how immature she’s acting as a bad thing, because that helps people to see how wrong she is. If everyone thought she was of sound mind, they would take her seriously and be on her side. I’m not excusing her behavior, I’m just saying everyone’s different.
@pjihae
Жыл бұрын
I don't know where you're getting this hope that she just needs some time to reflect. She's an *extremely* wealthy, *extremely* privileged young cis white woman who acquired her fame and wealth because of every adult she's ever known, all of whom fawn over her (while she does what they want her to do). The only thing that would surprise me about any of this would be if she actually mustered the courage to call out her predator friends and not become a groomer, cheater, or abuser herself.
