There is one more step to this process, you have to remove the slide guide and the emulsion tube.

Indeed, emulsion tubes is worthwhile. Not sure why you'd want to take guides though, bit pointless since they only need to be clean from slide side.

I'll be rebuilding my 1997 Sprint 900 carburetors this off season, it appears the previous owner disconnected and threw away all of the vacuum hoses (except fuel tap) is there any chance you can share how to re-connect these hoses?

Hi mate. Not straight from the top of my noggin but drop me an email (in About section) and I should be able to dig out part of manual that shows/describes what goes where.

Hi great video for strip and reassembly. Armed with your video I am thinking about this for refurb for my 94 Triumph Tiger but...... 1.Do you offer the rebuild as a service so I don't have to do it? 2.If I do it can you tell me which parts/seals/washers etc I should change as part of the rebuild and where you get them from 3.Any other parts I should be checking for wear/tear 4.What about float height....should I check and how to do it 5.I have the same model sonic cleaner as you but you note "vapour" cleaning too. Where/how to do that as your carbs look great

Hello Simon. 1. Not at the moment bud. 2. That depends on what is damaged/worm really. Not much point replacing the lot of it's usable. I normally got a bunch of orings, seals, gaskets, spare jets, etc and just replace what needs replacing. If I were to buy a rebuild kit it would be normally from ebay. 3. typical wear - float valves, orings connecting the carb bodies, jets. I also always replace all bolts with stainless. 4. if you didn't have issues with fueling before, no point touching them. You can check if they all sit at the same height when you flip the carbs upside down but as long as you don't bend them accidentally when rebuilding, you should be fine as is. 5. carbs in the video were vapour blasted before I got them for the rebuild. it's something like soda blasting, just different media. I'm not a massive fan as there are so many tiny spaces in carbs, it's easy to get them clogged up during blasting. If you get stuck with anything, drop me an email (in About section) and I'll try to help.

I’d really like to do this on my 900 Thunderbird, but it seriously scares me👿. There’s just far too bits and pieces for my small brain. 🧠

One piece at a time Kevin. It's quite satisfying when you do it yourself.

Hello. This was a rebuild for a friend and I don't have them anymore with me. I'm unable to check, sorry. They're all very similar though.
