Compiled from the original 35mm filmstrip and vinyl LP record soundtrack. This is a training film from 1970 which introduces the BL salesmen to the new Triumph Stag.
"Harry The Stag" sent this one to me, great stuff!

The toffy RP patter is almost completely obscuring the particulars of the Steh-hg! (It would be pretty funny if the narrator was actually a dirt poor Brummie or Geordie called Ringo with some fine voice acting skills.) 😊

To sod ham Gmorris: the rather plum my voice in fact is very informative, and is alright for TRAINING purposes , it sounds like the voice of someone who is very sure of themselves, and knows a lot about technical things! But, of course not right for any adverts. The Stag was supposed to be something MODERN. Which the voice certainly was NOT!

Good Film, thanks for sharing always interesting to see the launch information on any car you buy as you always learn something and it reminds you how old some of these cars actually are. I overtook a mini cooper in mine last wk but I have to admit it was a new mini so it doesn't,t really count !

To Paul Davies .WHY doesn,'t it count - that the Mini Cooper you overtook, was a NEW Mini? I'd have thought that was MORE of an achievement, because I would imagine the new Mini Cooper is faster!

A beautiful car, and time has fixed all its British Leyland failings.

Thanks 72redstag, I've been into Stags for 43 years & never seen that video. Three things made me chuckle: 'hoood', 'fasher' & what on Earth is that engine sound played at the end ... Triumph Herald? It made me cringe to see the rear window badly creased by folding in two. Wonder how long it took for owners to think about unzipping it first? 😊

@@MrDodgedollar shut up you impecile. This car is not the average 50yo car. You would not know of course because people like you wear sandals, fart all day and drive Ladas :D

@@MrDodgedollar good luck finding parts for an Alfa Romeo Giulietta. On the other hand, parts for VW Beetle are available and cheap. But asni said, you are clueless and worse ypu have no manners hillimbilly. Wear your sandals you hippie, and close the door as you leave. Internet can do better without toxic little creatures like you.

@@MrDodgedollar spoken like a real fan - who won't stand ANY nonsense from non-believers! I love this car, which is BEAUTIFUL, but happen to also like the entirely unpretentious Austin Allegro, which is CHARACTERFUL. I think the Allegro looks purposeful, and also cute and cuddly, because it is rounded! But of course, I'm apparently not allowed by some people to actually LIKE something that isn't EXPENSIVE, and also DARES to be BRITISH! So I have my own work cut out, fighting my OWN muppets!
