Interesting to compare - I've just been through this with a '75 CF. The harness shorted and burnt, and I took the opportunity to remove some of the US bloat, so bought an early Euro-spec (LHD) front harness. I managed to get it in without removing the heater box, but it was a struggle to get it back through the bulkhead for the battery connections. I kept it as stock as possible, so Lucas fuse box and no additional relays - the early models didn't even have the ignition relay. I couldn't get clear information from the harness manufactuer whether the supply to the coil (white with pink trace) was ballasted or not, so I swapped to a 1.5ohm coil and abandoned the cold start connection to the starter motor. The only real hastle was that I couldn't get the brake warning light, in circuit with the oil pressure warning light, to turn off once the engine started. The brake pressure value appears to be working, but I've settled for doing without it, so that the brake warning light is effectively a second oil pressure warning light...
