ňGreat video. Thanks for sharing. In a week or 6 I hope to have my own small (3018 or 3020) CNC, finally. I hope I'll regret that I didn't purchase it earlier. Just like my table saw. That also took me 4 years or so to decide on. But, better later than never.

Hey James, have you ever tried to replicate the Japanese Naguri style on a CNC?

Did you see my recent video on textures? You could achieve something very similar using that process. Making it appear more random would be harder but not impossible.

Great video James. I made trivet style coasters in quality pine few years ago, i soaked in BLO (PUNGENT STUFF) overnight, then dried & buffed. (I also chamfered all edges to make them stand out against quick routered trivets) They've been waterproof and stick proof. No cups sticking as i would usually get with varnish coasters. I. Not sure varnish would survive hot pots & trays. But please update us on how your poly finish react to varnish over time?

Awesome ideas James. I love how you and other makers are supporting each other after workbench con. Carveco, You, Hamilton, Jenny bits and a few others I follow. I have been using Jenny bits for a while and really like them. Cody is awesome as he really wants to support others as well. Great community. Thanks for all you do
