They had this technology so precise, back in the day, there is not one single picture of someone trying to run after it.

That's also because in the day they had two wires for both poles and when they were testing them in Auckland with tram rail they would've had someone run after the skate incase it slipped out. 😊

2nd wire is required usually, i see they use the rail instead as a ground wire.

40 plus years since the demise of Trolleybuses in Auckland and still no trolleybus overhead system at MOTAT. I think it is a disgusting oversight. And they should have more trolleybuses there as well. It is a pity only one of these was ever preserved. It would be great to see more trolleybuses saved, restored and operated. There is a need for heritage trolleybus operation in Museums, to remind this stupid little country of the superiority of trolleybuses over battery buses.
