Fished Cain Curran Saturday afternoon, perfect conditions, 2-3hours of fishing not a sniff!

Things are tough at the moment that is for sure. I also went Eppalock even better conditions on Sunday and fished for a few hours for 1 small redfin

That would have been a great place to live back in the day, very cool. Nice job getting a couple on what looked like a beautiul day.

Went out there for a few hours yesterday morning. Water was glass! Did a bit of trolling up near the wall then through the timber down Joyce's Creek end. Not a sausage. Water is looking a lot less silty now though. It's a funny place to fish.

Sunday I was undecided if I should try Eppalock or Cairn Curran. I decided Eppalock as it was perfect conditions with no wind and clear water. Fished there for the day for 1 very small redfin. I wonder if the solar aurora Saturday night did something to spook the fish?

Mate I really wanna know how your boat comes off that easy, I have to have the top of my trailer tyres level with water and even still have to give it a good push 😂

It does take a bit of push to get the boat off but usually the weight of the motor tilts the boat enough to slide off using the keel rollers. Make sure most of the weight of the boat is sitting on the keel rollers and not on the skids. The side skids are just to keep the boat balanced and not to take all of the boats weight.

@@brentonclarke the only skids that are touching the boat are the back runners otherwise it’s held up by the rollers, I’ve had the dealer re adjust a couple times aswell as I have and nothing seems to change, I’d have no chance of pushing my boat off with how far you have backed into the water, you wouldn’t mind sending a few photos through? Maybe even a video?

My favourite way to catch yellowbelly is no sinker at all, just a hook and drop a yabby right next to timber, just like where you dropped the worm 👍🎣 We used to catch so many like that, next spring i have already decided, im going back to my favourite yella lake 🎣 I enjoyed that look through the old building between fish, that was really cool. That second fish took a hard run for the sticks, let's just say it was a carp... No one is worried about losing a carp but a big cod, is a different story haha

I have never tried no sinker so might have give it a try. Deep down I think it was a cod or big yella so might have to go back there one day and give it another try

@@brentonclarke yeah but we will call it a carp anyway, just hurts less losing a carp hahaha Ahh believe me free baiting works so well for our natives, also on carp, I actually never use a sinker when fishing, if I really need to I never use a sinker bigger than a pea, just for a little extra casting distance if need be... It takes longer for a bait to get down obviously but the results are definitely worth while 👍 If I fish bait in the saltwater I fish the exact same way.
