Good idea Joseph. Get an inverter type.

Hi all. Update- To get better material flow I reversed the rotation so that the 'barrel' would turn away from the hopper.

Bryan, adding a Skirt, or Flow Control Wall, can help keep the Discharge where you want it, too.

@@robertweekley5926 The reverse direction was more about stopping the dirt from building up behind the hopper.

I must have missed it: what size mesh are you using? 🤔😲🥴 Is that just "Hardware Cloth" Galvanized Screen?

Hi Robert. I used a 6mm aperture Gal. wire mesh (usually used for gutter guard) for the first group of 'windows'. And I used a 12mm aperture Gal. wire mesh (used for bird aviaries) for the remaining 'windows'. This gave me 2 grades of material which suits my particular needs. The end of trommel discharge is also useful for a rough mulch in other areas of my property. A hardier mesh would be better...but I have used the trommel a lot with no signs of wear yet.
