beautiful looking horse. I didnt know this horse and not in that generation, but if you have an eye on horse, this one is special compared with later generations. I saw Troy's brilliance in the derby video before, and i think that year was a high-quality crop.

Thanks for the Clarence House, not seen it since I originally watched it. He wasn't the same horse at three, but I don't see why they felt the need to change tactics in the Craven.

@@HorseRacingLegends I wonder if you have any footage of Leonardo Da Vinci? He also turned in a spectacular performance earlier in that year when he won the White Rose Stakes by 10 lengths. On that day he was closest the Brigadier got to siring a superstar. It would also be nice to see Stilvi beating Deep Diver at Goodwood in 1972 if anyone had that footage. On a separate note thanks for putting up these videos, particularly the older one's. It's really important to maintain the history of the sport. Great shame that the likes of BBC and ITV don't do similar. There must be a treasure trove out there.

@@HorseRacingLegends How sad. What's the point of depriving fans of seeing these races? There are loads of races I would love to see, particularly from the early 1970's jumping, but wouldn't have the connection or the money to pay for them. Quite recently someone put up footage of the fall of Kinloch Brae in the 1970 Gold Cup which I had never seen before, but unfortunately the site disappeared.

Meant to ask have you got a connection at the BBC - an address or email address? I could at least write to them and express my opinion.

Honestly I think Tromos was just a horse who did not train on. And never really seemed to be interested in racing. I certainly do not think this is a Gorytus like situation. But you can tell after a furlong and half of the Guineas trial he is not all there and doesn't like it.

Only thing in his defence I suppose is that he confirmed the form with Warmington.
