How's your new polycarbonate greenhouse holding up in this stormy weather? Jim.

No problems so far. It's in quite a sheltered corner and the wind has not layed that way so far this year so we've been lucky. I do think that in a 1987 type of wind it'd be gone though!

Wow the size of them Ricinus! Were they standard purple variety?

Hi, they were Ricinus Carmencita red. For some reason our other Ricinus plants, Ricinus blue giant, didn't live up to their name! The red ones were great though and are a great filler and easy to grow from seed. Thanks for watching

Enjoyed watching your frost protection for bananas. I used to do the straw but used leaves. But now I just wrap them first with a layer of frost cloth then a layer of bubble wrap covering the top too and it works great

That sounds a lot easier than the straw method! It took me hours to do mine. I might well try that next year. Thanks for the tip, its always handy to know what other people find works in practice. Btw, one thing I didn’t mention in the video was the amount of mess the straw makes!
