I mean I’m from NJ and MA. There was hurricane Sandy and it wasn’t even a big deal. It was no different than a bad snow storm, minus the jersey shore that got hit with water. But by October no one is hanging at the shore. And MA hasn’t seen anything ever. This hurricane isn’t impacting ANYONE. Besides Nova Scotia and I don’t think people are that concerned about it. The water is so cold up there, it’s not gonna be a Katrina or Matthew or Andrew. It’s just gonna be like a Sandy if ANYTHING at most. And I even doubt that…. Like I really DOUBT that. No one I know from NJ or New England is talking about this, and many don’t even know there’s anything coming. And when I told my brother in NYC about this, he went “wherever.” Bc people don’t care. 😂 Hurricanes up there is like every 100 years. My parents are in their 60’s and haven’t been in one hurricane their entire life until Hurricane Ian last year in Florida. Like snow storms are the concern up there and maybe a tornado during a summer? Like maybe and that’s a stretch. The ice storm in MA in 2008 was more catastrophic than Sandy. People from all over New England were in zero temps, no power, couldn’t go on the roads, driving to other states, power lines and trees down… that was scarier than Sandy. Like I remember that impact way more than anything else.

When you have an eyewall replacement cycle , you will still see the eye but it will appear to have double edges Almost a Target appearance with concentric bands... And that's exactly what it is. Narrow bands of thunderstorms within the eye trying to intensify and become the main eyewall.
